If you think professional players don't do repeat runs of particular sets then you're kidding yourself Mr Oracle. You can call it practice, drills, sessions, sets, try outs, it's the same ****. Like the bloke getting wound up over the term "vertical" I can't believe how much terminology winds some up.
And Chazz, constantly liking posts that take digs at me after going on about how people shouldn't take digs isn't a great look. Be better.
I’ll do what I like thanks And sad to say as I’ve been a big supporter of you You’ve been an absolute prick these last few weeks
You can do what you like, I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy. I really haven't been. The way you've gone after PLT, myself and others has been quite ridiculous. You have your targets and go after them regardless of what they've said. The whole thing about whether our current squad is bigger than last season with PLT was ridiculous. Cheer up. Or don't. But just own it.
You don't need to massively criticise him. Just tell him he has wasted too many chances, given away too many passes and drop him. Same as my binman would be dropped if he kept missing people's bins and spilling them all over their drive. He seems like a nice lad but I think he would be better suited at league one or two level. Sheffield United knew what they were doing getting 50k for him. Its took our club too long to work out where the issues are laying. We have half a dozen currently playing big minutes that are out of their depth. The table doesn't lie.
If we had better players in the squad they'd be in the team wouldn't they ? Are there any players who haven't had a chance ? Some people think Omur is the answer but what exactly has he done ?
I think Omur would have been the answer. I just get the feeling he’s become disillusioned here, his hearts not in it and he’s already as good as gone, which I can’t really blame him for.
Any club selling a player for 50k who then goes on to make over 100 championship appearances has clearly made a mistake and did not know what they were doing.
The writing has been on the wall for Omur since Ozan decided to go back to Turkiye, Acun had moved away from his original transfer model of bringing in Turkish players from the Super Lig instead now focussing on players available in South America and the European markets. This just leaves Sinik and Omur from the original plan, I feel both players will be gone once the Turkiye transfer windows opens on the 13th of January - I understand Omur wants a transfer back to an Istanbul team - which may prove a problem.
I’d be happy tomorrow with no goals against us, One clean sheet this season it’s about time we had another.
They should still be getting a far better fee. You don't just give away every player not good enough for you.
In the case of Slater I would prefer to see Puerta, Simons, Mehlem and Alzate play over him. In the case of Coyle I'd prefer Drameh to be played in front of him. Your point is valid in respect to Giles, Pedro, Bedia, Kamara and Jones/McLoughlin as we simply don't have anyone to play in their place. Hopefully we will soon.
And I'm saying that was clearly proven wrong in hindsight meaning they didn't know what they were doing. Usually if people know what they're doing they're proven clever in hindsight not silly. Selling anyone to a fellow championship club for under 100k who is valued by the purchasing club as first team ready just seems daft to me, no matter how **** sheff utd thought he was. I don't think anyone would suggest we "knew what we were doing" when we essentially gave away Tom Cairney, for instance.
Can Acun just transfer our dead wood to one of his other clubs? He owns 2 others right? edit - apologies I thought this was the transfer thread
