HA'WAY THE LADS MACKEMS ATTACKEM Gonna stick me neck out and predict we batter these cùnts 0-5 Away day thriller.
I do wish that people would get off the fence about other clubs. Just tell us what you really think man
This one worries me now with them just sacking their manager, but we have to believe we can still get a result
I think that someone already said this, but I’m far too lazy to search for it. Personally though I don’t think we have too much to worry about with Stoke. We all remember the Tony Pulis era where they were a nasty thuggish team to play against but still got results. I think that mindset has gone now and they are what they are, a mid to lower championship level team. My assessment probably means we’ll get thrashed tomorrow now.
New manager bounce isn’t a thing this season. I give you Leicester, Man United, Cardiff, Stoke once already, to a degree Coventry. Ain’t nobody bouncing very high. **** them.
Great thread as always @RTB. Thanks for the constant quality. Always a good read. Hoping that we cut out the first half sloppiness and get these beat comfortably and early. Also hoping for better news than we are fearing with Rigg. 0-3
First goal is huge now they’ll have a little lift the manager has been sacked we don’t need them going infront and getting another boost, about time we put a full 90 together 0-2 Roberts Wilson
I’ll take a scruffy 1-0 away win as we have struggled to break poor, park the bus type teams down. Would love to smash them all over, but expectations are for an edgy affair. intrigued to see our formation. Hope whoever comes in for Rigg steps right up and delivers
I don’t believe Stoke will gain the slightest lift from this sacking. Players either react positively, if an unpopular long-term manager is sacked … … or defiantly is they liked and trusted the manager. In this it’s just another face in a long line they’re barely used to. They’ll have had a series of team talks and ‘morale boosting meetings’ that have all come to nothing … in fact it’s all made things worse. They’re now expected, at Christmas time, to listen to their ‘Dodds’ and rally round for supporters who booed them off the pitch at Sheff Wed. We have a determined manager, fantastic team spirit and excellent support who are all pulling together. Nothing but flukes, scrambles or poor refereeing can stop us winning imo … … Ha’way the Lads and a clean professional 2-0.
Squad is really stretched now but if Aouchiche steps up and has good game we've still got a pretty well balanced and talented first 11 on the pitch. Think Alese and Connolly are solid options off the bench too. Worry about their reaction to the management change - doesn't always create a positive result but overall think it might be another 2-2. However it really looks like Neil, Roberts and Jobe are really starting to fire if all 3 play very well good chance we win. Hopefully some returning next week or two to help and better news than we were fearing about Rigg.
Finally got to watch the Blackburn game who exposed us with deep crosses and heading them back into the six yard box so if these use that tactic we have to be more aware, this is the only way I can see them hurting us.
Thanks again RTB for another excellent MDT , and would'nt it be nice to get the first goal , then go on to win the game comfortably, and if Reg picks the team you have indicated we might just do that, Stoke permitting. OaU.
No signs of a press conference… Sunderland AFC supporters travelling to Stoke City this weekend are advised that the away section at the bet365 has moved location. After more than 7,000 fans travelled to Blackburn Rovers on Boxing Day, a 3,300-strong red and white army will head to the Potteries for the Club’s final outing of 2024. Supporters travelling to the Bet365 Stadium are advised that the away section is now situated in the South East Corner. The entrance to the away section is located opposite the Toyota garage on Stanley Matthews Way and the exact location can be found here. Fans will be required to walk through a chicane set-up on their approach to the turnstiles, which will be open from 1.30pm. Supporters collecting tickets, which are now sold out, are advised to head to turnstile 42, which is located on the right-hand side as you walk down the entry ramp. All at SAFC wish our travelling supporters a safe journey to Staffordshire and we look forward to seeing you at the bet365 Stadium.
Been their u21 mgr this season. In charge for 9 games, drawn 1 lost 8. Doesnt necessarily mean much I know. It will be a blood and thunder team talk I suspect, not much time for anything else. He will demand commitment, responsibility etc. Do it for the fans. That sort of approach couls go either way with a squad like theirs.
