What a ridiculous red card for Villa. Guy gets kicked in the bollocks then lands, twists his ankle and falls onto the Newcastle player on the floor. somehow Taylor from far away has managed to look at that in 1 view and decided that he intentionally stamped on him and what’s even worse if var have watched it and not seen what every other person has seen
Looked a clear pen. Fact the defender didn’t even argue gives it away, he ends up missing the ball and catching him on the far leg halfway up near his knee
I am not sure the defender knew he slipped Think the replay really shows it Not overly fussed either way but i would not have been surprised had it not been given Defo worse decisions out there but thought it was weird there wasnt even a comment
Thought was one of clearest pens you’ll ever see. City player knocks the ball away and Everton player swings a leg misses the ball and kicks him on the knee. Most surprising thing was the fact he wasn’t given a second yellow and sent off as could have been a nasty one with fact studs went into his knee/thigh
Just watching Newcastle v villa. Still not sure if Duran meant it but he got one leg then swung the other in to make contact which I think decided it for the var. Taylor walked around the defendervto see where he was caught imo before producing the card. Emry is dead wrong. Taylor has had a look about and got some voices in his ear too. For me Newcastle should be higher in the table and if they sacked howe and got a new manager who could take those players on.
Problem is on the replay you can see Durans left ankle twist as he lands which throws him off balance.
Yes but as i said the ref walked round the guy and probably saw stud parks and made his mind up. He hasn't just pulled thst red he's also probably got the lino talking to him saying he saw the guy stand twice on the defender. Did he mean it or not? No idea. Once given the var didn't have the balls to call taylor to a screen.
Arsenal With a win over Ipswich at home. Pretty much expected - I guess the best thing was only 1-0 so keeps their GD down.
Saka out for 6 months will have a massive impact on Arsenal. Can see them buying this January as they needed a striker in any event.
he’ll take 12m to get anywhere near his best imo. Those types of injuries used to see reoccurring issues and a loss of a yard of pace….i appreciated surgery has advanced now….i hope for his sake, it’s a smooth return, when it comes.
