7-1 defeat, after watching Newcastle destroy us, I have lost total faith in us at the moment. Goalkeeper situation needs to be addressed asafp!! Burns, Hutchinson and Chaplin not good enough up top, far too weak imo. No Morsy, we are doomed, only bright side is no Saka for them, had Saka been playing I would have gone 9

Realistically anything from the Newcastle,Arsenal and Chelsea games would be a bonus.
Not Friday though,3-0 to the Gooners.

Any points now would be a real boost and stop us coming off the rails big time!

    3 -0 the Arsenal.

    Agree with you all.

If we can keep it below 4 that would be great.

    3 nil to arsenal.

Even without Saka, I do fear what this Arsenal team will do. However, they struggled when Odegaard was injured. Maybe without Saka they’ll be a bit toothless?

I’m going for a 2-0 Arsenal win. I think it might be goalless at half time though.

If we can get any points on the board in the next two matches, we’ll have done well. Just got to hope that Southampton, Wolves, Leicester, and teams like Everton don’t win before New Year, so we’re still in contention for when we try to bring in a few more players. I don’t care if they’re loans and we send Phillips back to free up another space - we need proven quality and bit more Premier League experience.

And why was Cunha playing for Wolves, and scored of course? I am shocked but perhaps not surprised. What an absolute joke that he’s been charged and allowed to play.
Surely with all the video evidence it is clear he should have been suspended immediately. And of course our own Delap is booked and misses our last game.

I am rapidly getting disillusioned by the Prem. Maybe we wont be too upset if, as now seems likely, we head back to the Championship.

I hate VAR with a vengeance too,but I'd rather we improved to the point where we weren't regarded as the smallest fish in the pond and officiating blunders weren't so crucial than have to accept we were better off in the Second Division.

The 3 promoted teams are clearly the worst 3 teams and I can’t see any one of them - including us, staying up. Unfortunately, the gap between the premier league and the championship is now a chasm and too big to cross. Only way this will change is if the big teams form a breakaway super league so the rest of the money gets more evenly distributed

Or maybe do a Forest, spend a trillion on top players, and take a 4 point hit.
Or do a Leicester, or a Man city, or an Everton....
    So much for rules, ey.

Perhaps the top 6 can join and f...
K off to the European super league, and not compete in their national leagues.
Trouble is our top 6 are now not so super!

Cant see anything other than a cricket score here.
Hopefully the Arsenal players may have had a few too sprouts over the last few days, and are not completely up for this one, but even still, as a lot have said, we'll do well to keep it below 5

    I'll predict a 6-0 humiliation

I like Woolfenden and thought he was harshly dropped however it's a big call bringing him and Greaves in after being out cold for so long in a game of this magnitude. Given Burgesses form and the fact he is probably our best header of the ball it's a huge call to make if it's a tactical one not an injury

I like the move to three at the back with wing-backs. It helps both Johnson and Davis, who push high up and get punished at this level. Unsure why Burgess has been dropped, unless he’s ill?

Shame it’s not Taylor for Phillips - but possibly a chance for Phillips to prove his worth.

I like the two numbers tens - both Szmodics and Hutchinson played that role really well in the away game at Spurs. We’ve definitely replicated that style tonight - possibly our best chance at getting something from the game.
