Reading this thread reminds me of a couple of items on BBC's Football Gossip page. Newcastle United and Brazil international Bruno Guimaraes, 27, and Real Sociedad and Spain's fellow midfielder Martin Zubimendi, 25, are Manchester City's top January transfer targets. (Team Talk), external Juventus are prepared to sell 19-year-old Turkish attacking midfielder Kenan Yildiz to fund a move for Newcastle's Italy midfielder Sandro Tonali, 24. (Corriere dello Sport, via 90 Min) Childish of me, of course, but it made me smile. What has 'the richest Club in The World' come to when other Clubs, around Europe see, them as a potential selling Club? Of course these are only rumours, but my smile WAS real.
Eh? I don't pay enough attention it seems! They did a team photo after winning a league game? Against Leicester? That is fecking monumental mind, just off the map.
It was for the "Beating Leicester Cup", after all they don't know owt about winning actual silverware at Sid James Park
I remember distinctly how this 'wearing Mag shirts continually' nonsense started. It was when Newcastle were winning the League by a mile. The media had built up this battle between cute little Kevin Keegan and big bad arrogant Alex Ferguson. At the time Ferguson and Man Utd weren't well liked so it wasn't difficult. Newcastle had a 12 points lead, with only 15 games to go, some bookies paid out and the Mags started celebrating. They were wearing their shirts everywhere so strangers would pat them on the back and start conversations ... ... they loved it and continue it now for the same reason. Sadly for them no one gives a shiny shyte these days so they do it out of belligerence to show people what great fans they are
Can't believe the **** that this fella comes out with, why do people post things when they haven't a clue about what the truth is actually. Called the inter-cities fair cup "a prestigious cup", if you can bear nearly 9 minutes of crap (I only managed 7) then have look and a laugh. The bloke has a really good Geordie accent as well. PS, No I wasn't looking for it, just popped up on YouTube.
Thanks for posting that mate, I watched it all the way through and will probably watch it again ... ... it's on a par with Vic Reeves Big Night Out for hilarity and sheer incredulity. I was waiting for someone to be hit in the face with a frying pan but, presumably, that'll be in part 2
****ing mag shirts everywhere this morning! Just been put to pick up some stuff and there’s loads on my street. Not in 10 years did I even know that half of them were mags!
