Regis Le Bris on Sunderland plan for Eliezer Mayenda & Patrick Roberts https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/s...derland-plan-eliezer-mayenda-patrick-roberts/ By Dominic Shaw REGIS Le Bris has no plans to swap Patrick Roberts from the right wing to the left despite his tweak on the flanks in the win over Norwich City. Roberts started on the right and Eliezer Mayenda on the left against the Canaries but the pair swapped to good effect in the second half as the Black Cats battled back to win. Le Bris admitted Mayenda is more comfortable on the right than the left, but Roberts will be back in his regular position this afternoon at Ewood Park, where Mayenda is again expected to start on the opposite flank in what is likely to be an unchanged Sunderland attack. "I like Patrick as a right winger specifically in that triangle with Trai and Riggy because they are so well connected," explained boss Le Bris. "You can like a player in a specific position but it's not only the position, it's the connection with other players. "And when this connection is created, it's like a gift and you have to keep pushing. For that reason I prefer to have Patrick in the right triangle with Trai and Riggy because they can create so many things together." Mayenda started the season as Sunderland's central striker but with Wilson Isidor having nailed down the centre-forward position, despite his recent lack of goals, Le Bris has set about convincing the teenager he can be an effective winger. That was the case against Norwich, with Mayenda impressing and causing the Canaries problems. Mayenda had briefly played a bit of football on the right flank for Sunderland but is still getting to grips with life on the left. "It's clear that he has the ability to play on the right side," said Le Bris. "He wasn't convinced before. As a left winger it's his first minutes right now so has to develop new references and learn that position. "Both positions I think are ready to go, striker and right winger, as a left winger he still has many elements to develop but he has good potential. "We have different personalities in the dressing room and Eliezer has high standards. He finds mistakes difficult to manage but he wants to learn and that's the best way to improve."

I'd take the chance and come mate. Not all the 7000 will make it. Send your number and call when you’re in Blackburn.
Not even getting to watch this today I don’t think. Have a 5pm gig which I need to set up for (takes just over an hour) but can’t get in early to do it and they wont have our game on! Will take the iPad and try to find a stream! Always been a great away game. Nice people in the pubs I frequented down there the times I’ve been. Enjoy it everyone
Safe travels to all heading down there today. Think it will be a tough game but we have more than enough to turn them over. 2-1 to the lads.
Thankyou as always RTB Feeling this could be one of those really special days with some memorable long talked about moments. Have a great day all you brilliant 7000
I'm gonna go for Isidor 1st goal score, he needs one to get himself going. Another 2-1 win for me. C'mon. Hoping to keep catching snippets on here as our lass has organized a party and a few of her mates husbands/partners are mags and we have all been warned to behave. Lol.
Never thought of that. Should've travelled up with the lad and took a chance. Should be a good atmosphere with that many away tickets. Always is with much less.
Just in the Weatherspoons Blackburn and the toilets are upstairs. There’s a sign saying ‘Children must be accompanied’ … … one of the locals left when he couldn’t find the piano
Haven’t read through the thread so apologies if mentioned before but just realised these had won 6 off the bounce and only conceded once in those 6 games with Bathh at CB! Fancy us today like 3-1
