I was the main critic of Pandur in these forums during transfer window, I suggested to opt for free agent international keeper for multiple times such as Romanian NT keeper, but even I can't say Pandur is the problem, he is the only player outperforming himself right now.

It's like a game of 'guess who' of who will be blamed next/should be dropped.

And now it's Pandur's turn... it makes no sense, he's having a good season and looks a good keeper.

Absolutely ****ing no one is saying he should be dropped in the current situation.

Has the site turned into the daily ****ing express all of a sudden?

Outperforming? More like he's playing in line with his ability.

He's played for Croatia at every age level through to & including U21. He ousted a keeper in the Dutch PL and stayed as their No 1 for a season & a half before coming here. He was still young for a keeper, but at 24 not a kid. We see this season why Acun couldn't understand why he wasn't given a chance. And he was right.

Iraola said: "The first thing we try to do when we recover the ball is play to the No 9, because that is usually the moment when the opponent is less well-positioned and you can find better spaces."
No waiting for the opposition to get back into shape for Iraola. His teams cut through quickly, a vertical game as some like to call it. It can be devastating for the opposition and thrilling for their own supporters.

I hadn't heard this term 'vertical' until Selles mentioned it, and didn't know what it meant even when he said it in his early interview.

I'd guess many of us got frustrated as hell previously with watching us take our time fannying around at the back whilst, as Iraola says above, "waiting for the opposition to get back into shape". It just seemed madness to me (and boring). Same with the near constant recycling back from promising positions. I get 'ball retention' (yes, i get medication for it) but I could never understand why we did it as it just made it so much more difficult for ourselves to score. Glad it's now in the past for us.
