I honestly didn't think our performance today was that bad.

All we need is to have another mini run like we did when Riza first came in - simple :emoticon-0105-wink:

Unfortunately, we haven't got Plymouth and Portsmouth at home again.

Where are City going? I’m all but resigned to relegation. Can the season be salvaged again? Possibly but improbable as it stands.

As OS stated we need some clubs getting points deductions.

As that is unlikely City have got to have a good January window like they had under Morison in 2021-22 season and start picking up streaky away wins like last season as we can’t rely on our hopeless home form. We’ve lost 7 home games with six of them 0-2. Away teams know all they need to do is get the opening goal and save a freakish turnaround v Norwich, it’s game over.

Incidentally the injury toll gets higher.

    I'm trying to identify upcoming games we could/should win..............and I can't.

We just can't make a telling pass up front let alone a sequence of interplay through midfield to get there. We're static and other sides play around us.

Until Robbo came on it was essentially the old long ball route out of defence for Meite to chase - dinosaur play whilst the opposition plays around us.

It's difficult to recall such a poor set of circumstances. A rookie manager trying his best with a squad of average players and it really isn't working.

    It was like Bulutball returned.<doh>

You’ve got to wonder whether the owner gives a toss about City regardless of his investment into it. How long did it take to make his mind up about Riza? It was the wrong decision as results are proving.

Oxford got in an experienced manager who won’t be judged on matches v Leeds but on matches v Cardiff, Argyle, Pompey etc..

If we don’t get at least 5 points in our 3 Xmas matches then perhaps the Riza experiment should be curtailed and Dalman be told to get on the blower to Mowbray, and tell him he’s got an open cheque book.

Yes I think you are right, otherwise I wouldn't be going to Oxford and Watford, would I?

I think Riza's support team were 1 down. In fairness he was a very good defender. Has a few year's managerial experience at a variety of clubs. Don't think he has won anything though.

On other social media many consider him as our next interim manager when Riza is dispensed with. I was going to say "gets the bullet" but that was too much of a removal of coat from the hanger thought.

Wow Richard Shaw? Was a good defender for us many years ago and stepped in as interim manager when we sacked Andy Thorn, but as a coach? Not sure he what’s needed in a relegation scrap.

Sorry Andy, don’t look like it. Phil’s got an overtime shift at 3.5 x rate! He’ll be sat doing nothing in front of his signal board

Let me know if that changes Robbie. <ok>

Best wishes for Christmas and 2025 to you and your family too. Apart from if one CCFC goes down, hope it's not ours. Going to need a bloody huge change in many things to benefit us. <yikes>

From Glen. He’s not wrong but the ‘top brass’ are clueless and dare I say it indifferent to the clubs status.

There should be a club announcement tonight thanking Riza for his time and that he and Shaw (what was that appointment all about?) have gone and (fill in the gap*) will be in charge at Watford.

    * Tony Mowbray would be my choice.

That of course will not happen so we’re stuck with Riza who has said we only need 2 players in the window. He’s deluded. We need at least a keeper, a left back, a central midfielder, a winger (with pace and the ability to cross) and 2 experienced strikers.

Only Ng, O’Dowda, Robertson and Colwill are worth playing. The rest are simply just not good enough, including (save Ng) the injured players.

City need to get 32 points from
24 games to hit the 50 point mark which is the benchmark. On today’s performance and without change all round they’ll be relegated by the end of March.

Beginning to regret that early improvement in results when Riza first took charge. The positivity over Bulut going was hightened by those initial games under Riza. It eased the pain but gave a false sense of security.

You can expect that from the fans but it shouldn't have the same effect upon those guiding the club rather than just watching it.

Sorry to say, but the Championship is no place for amateurs or trainees - it's hard and it's tough. I don't buy into this "the players like him" stuff.

I'd have felt more positive with someone with experience like Rowett for this season. At least I'm pretty sure we'd be playing Champ football next year but now I've got serious doubts, especially with this autocratic owner and dithering board controlling our destiny.
