Yeah, think I posted something about that. That's the 2nd time Mike Dean has drivelled on about not sending players off depending on what stage of the game it is, and where it's being played. Spurs play West Ham next, and if I'm a Hammers fan I'd be well pissed off if that player scores the winning goal of makes a goalline clearance that costs them points.
E Even if he took the ball cleanly it should’ve been a red, you cannot fly in 2 footed off the ground like that. Disgusting to be ignored imo
The same as his lunge at Virgil, and look at the damage that caused. He got away with it then for stupid reasons, and it's happened again - if they don't punish him for it he'll keep on doing it and might cause even more harm one day. They just keep making up ad hoc reasons to justify poor refereeing, and that is reneging on their responsibility to protect players.
Did make me laugh the reasoning is he was trying to make a save rather than make a tackle so if you perform an action that could break someone’s leg while making a save that’s perfectly legit? Hes a keeper, if he’s making a save you try and use your hands not dive 2 footed off the ground at someone’s foot ffs. Again strikes if referees having no game knowledge
