I seem to remember people starting to question Nige’s position after the very same fixture under his tenure.

That’s true, I was their that game, but we were never in danger of going down, his “playstyle” suited the players we have, direct counter attacking which ironically under Hogg we looked so much better.

Anyways none of that really matters because we aren’t going anywhere again, another poor season, and it won’t change anytime soon.

We are going nowhere with Manning but that’s not his fault, he gets a lot of stick but it should be aimed at Tinnion and JL.

    Said it before
Don’t believe the lies, there is no real ambition by the owner or any of the senior management to get the club into the Premier League

It’s funny how the NP luvvees on here say it’s all the. boards fault that he didn’t succeed, yet blame LJ before him, and LM now as it’s their personal fault we are not succeeding.

I agree with you, it's funny how Mark Ashton has had fantastic success with the board and Kieran MaKenna at Ipswich and yet failed dismally with the then board of Brisrol City and LJ, no comparison.

Lansdown Inc and BT are a shower, I am also one that wants LM to succeed.

    Facts people -

This isn’t a Nigel Pearson fan post BUT he was sacked because of “results” he had 131 games with 32.06% win which overall isn’t great, now look at manning only 58 games with only a 31% win rate…. Surely he’s got to because of “results”

My worry is even if LM goes well just replace him with someone similar, IMO we need to change BT and JL first, and get in proper football people. Just tinkering with the manager/head coach is madness.

bit early to call that one!.... the division looks extremely squashed .

games in hand so 6th could be 40 pts at present!

last season on 23 games top 7 were
    23/24 58 52 45 45 36 36 34 .....city in 12th on 32 4 points from top 6th
    24/25 50 48 47 44 41 40 36 .... city in 10th on 30 6 points from top 6th

notes / statiscally ... at least 1 team in top 6 at moment drops out and 1 team from 8 teams below it replaces it so what you see for top 8 at least? is what will be at EOS .HOWEVER ... this is a completely different scenario that is showing more "equality of the results" teams in 4th 5th 6th 7th are all better off on points than last season! whereas top 2 are 8 pts and 4 pts worse off! [Sheff U deducted 2 so on 48!]
Millwall a game in hand could relegate us to 11th
our next game v Portsmouth is the turning point for the season repeat the first half and we end up on 60 points
projected figure for 6th is 79.6 pts so city need to add 49 points or over 2 per game average! only 1 team managed that so far!

It’s a very fine line between playing exciting football and getting results with it
At times we seem to be doing neither, yet we started the season and the first few games very positively indeed

We play very exciting football across the back four, it’s just the rest of the pitch that’s the problem :emoticon-0105-wink:
