Everton know how much them taking points from Chelsea means to us and doing their part to keep our title challenge alive.
Has anybody watched the highlights of Everton v Chelsea? I’ve just watched it and I’m amazed Pickford hasn’t been done for his 2 footed lunge on the Chelsea player.
Flange already getting his excuses in. We played Thursday, we played the same team. We didn’t have enough energy levels, blah blah ****ing blah. We could have scored 10 today.
I like Slot’s attitude Liverpool boss Arne Slot to BBC Sport: "For 60 minutes we did everything we had to do, we were comfortable and good with the ball. The main thing is we worked very, very hard. But then the same players with the same quality thought that 10 or 15 minutes of not working as hard was good enough. “Tottenam have enough quality to score goals if you give them chances. You have to be on top of your game for the whole game and we didn’t do that.”
Perfectionist. He'll get praised for it. Some of us get lambasted and called negative for wanting to see it too
What i found funny was how much praise kuluevski got but when they were still in the game he has Robertson in real trouble 3 times and never once looked up to see the far post ball was on for son who was free as a bird. It's small margins as the lad was spurs sole threat but when the chips are down you have to deliver at that level. Same for trent loads of occasions where he could have been skinned alive but spurs failed to exploit his positioning. Slot will be looking at exactly that while the likes of carragher and neville will goo over a world class cross. I was laughing at redknapp on about lfc fans being grateful and wishing trent well if he goes after the game. Said lfc still his club. Eh? Seemed to me he made it very clear spurs were his club most of the time so I could guess why he wouldn't get what will happen if trent goes for free.
Carra made complete sense and no idea why Redknapp thinks overwise. if Trent goes then lfc fans will say thanks and goodbye and hell be another Owen mcmanaman. No one is forcing him to stay and if he wants to experience another country, another club, maybe win some trophies in Spain then absolutely fair play. It’s his career and hell have earned it. But hell have to accept he won’t be thought of in same way as Gerrard or even carragher in 10 years time when he’s retired.
He's done ok. He's improved each season but had a bit of a knockback with injury You couldn't ask for any more really from a player at a lower half club than to stand out in the crowd. How he would react to being surrounded by good players (would his assists go up) is unknown as is his fitness. You won't find another salah, his fitness is a symptom of his dedication and the only player like that in the last 10 years is Ronaldo, nobody else comes close to the obsession both have had. We just need an effective balance and players stepping up and a player like jota staying fit tbh. Salah is a one off but there's a lot worse players to suit slot than mbueno. We need a player smart enough to stay high and wide in our build ups and provide those assists but salah is also scoring freely on the break or from pens. You get the best of both world's from him
Imo redknapp just showed what a player who's bounced around clubs thinks. Aka fans should be grateful i was there at all. Redknapp isn't on a wall in a housing estate in anfield. He's not worshipped. Owen and mcmanaman will never be treated the same as gerrard (who stayed after trying to go and getting threats etc) If trent wants to be loved he stays. If he wants trinket medals won by being at real he can chase them but the mural.will.be painted over. It's not like he shouldn't get this. He was on the park while the fans booed suarez for Barca in the cl. You have to leave anfield on the clubs terms to be treated like a legend.
