We still have not seen the accounts We are on a 3 year psr cycle where covid lack of crowds is no longer any factor in anyone's accounts We will have 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24 2012/22 supposed to be a 7mil profit 2022/23 was a -9mil. 2023/24 has a large transfer net spend (plus all the losses of cl football that a poor ending to the europa cannot compensate. We simply do not know where that year will fall in terms of profit and loss. We do know gravenberch, endo and szoboszlai all fall into that seasons accounts. The prem is -105 over 5 years We also know that the uefa new rules is transfers plus wages as a % of revenue and we were 68% so close to the bone. As January falls before the deadline for publishing accounts We just don't know what we are carrying or why we didn't buy anyone in 2024/25 so far bar chiesa for 14mil. Every buy and new wage will count up to July 1st in this season. So really, of we had been in the cl last season then sure there would have been more buys. I kind of expect to see us buy players on 1st July next year but only time will tell if a player can be bought this January.
Another story that Salah contract will be announced soon https://www.teamtalk.com/liverpool/...uncement-u-turn-revealed-agreed-euro-transfer
To quote 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' "Get on with it" been on the verge of announcing for about a month now.
Well according the the various click baiters. He sad truth is that nobody is in any way reliable any more as there's so many people peddling click baiter to get your data by forcing you to take a cookie in exchange for pure drivel now. Even the former half decent journalists have joined in with thisnrat race so it's not worth paying any attention ot. We simply can't know if any of the 3 players actually got a contract offer or what their reaction to it was if one was offered.
We don't know thst for next year yet but we had space last year to get klopp the players who are vital now. We are to the bone on ffp
Yes we are. Psr is the prem Ffp is the uefa measure amd we were at 68% of revenue when last shown so if the target is 70% we need to grow revenue to sepnd on transfers and wages. It's actually mad that the prem have fallen out of step with Europe on this
Saw a rumour linking him to us yesterday, hence me posting that. Think he's been linked to Real a long time but then, everyone is at some point.
Yeah exactly. It won't be in January but if we could get him in the summer it would be a fantastic signing.
so what has happened since last shown? Klopp left - I’d guess a significant saving Several fringe players left, few came in, there is no doubt that it would be a big net positive for us in transfer in value vs transfer out. Same applies to wages. Champions League group stage money though I’m not sure how these are paid Increase in revenue from new stand (it was delayed same period LY) New commercial deals ? Ticket price increases? I reckon we are good to sign new players without any question imo
It was calculated for last year. As far as i am aware the only arrival was macallister in thst and since then in 2023/24 we bought players after July 1 like gravenberch, endo and szoboszlai so I can only assume we could afford thst but we also had a bad europa going out early so until we know what the numbers are we can't assume we can buy in January. I'd rather assume we can't then assume we can and then be disappointed nothing happens. January is very hard to predict as big moves do happen but only if the price is too good or clubs have to sell. After this seasons results with the CL added I can only assume our finances will improve massively. Again it's idle speculation to wonder if the contracts are not given due to the cost of them. Surely slah and vvd are not asking for more money anyway
help if you said which one you are referring to as FFP is commonly used to cover the rules for all organisations btw actually it's now called Financial Sustainability
The uefa rules is all i'm referring to as being close to the bone. The psr rules in the prem will have st least 50mil space i hope but we will see.
be more than and UEFA rules won't be a problem next year as £35m will have disappeared off our wage bill
Doesn't mean he doesn't want to though. As with incomings so with outgoings, I'll just wait and see what happens.
