More solid, no mistakes and fighting. About as good as could be expected.

We are in the game but really need an attacking focal point.

Yeah they initially said it was for something he said, then got confirmation it was for the foul and said it was very soft

Very pleasant that there was not one bit of suicidal defending that half. Not one.

Well we quietened down the crowd. Surprised if anyone still awake
Got to get Dibbling out wide and get Adarma off now. Bring on Tall Paul as we are hoofing it up front to….nobody

Good to be level but that’s more to do with them being bad than us defending well.
We are so sluggish off and on the ball I’m expecting to see slug trails all over the pitch.
It’s almost like a pre-season, let’s not get injured type of performance.

Our kit was the brightest thing about that half.
We look totally lost going forward

Considering that Fulham have had some very respectable results recently, are at home, whilst Saints are rock bottom of the league and between managers, I feel 0-0 at half time is pretty good for us. Limited Fulham to some wild shots from outside the area.

All I'd change from that half would be Archer/Tall Paul for Armstrong, and that bullshit yellow for Downes.

You lose a lot from KWP on the left as he can't break so quickly.. Maybe we should bring on a left back?!

Terrible game of football. Don't think either side have had a shot on target have they? Have we managed a shot full stop?

We continue to not close teams down on the edge of the box. Just know one of their long range efforts will fly in second half.

Armstrong a passenger, Dibling struggling massively to. I'd be tempted to hook both.

Wood has been decent again. Still far from convinced by Aribo at this level.

Fulham have only lost 4 games, so that’s a good half from Saints. I’ll take dull but solid, over dull but fragile.

Does seem a little unfair on Fulham, West Ham and Palace that they won’t get the same chance to play against our Russell Martin defence this season.

If any of those 3 miss out on something based on GD they’ve got legitimate grounds for complaint

We look a lot more organised. The trouble is, they’re very organised and disciplined too, and we’re not finding any space with the utterly ineffectual Armstrong. Get TP on for him and try Archer (or Sully) for Dibling.

    Baby steps.

We could do with some of it from them though, because it’s hard to imagine how else we’re going to score a goal.

Everyone is saying about Southampton's shirt, but at least if the floodlights fail at Craven Cottage, the game can still carry on. BBC

Normally I want to keep Dibling on as he can create out of nothing, but I would agree with most on here, that it just doesn't seem to be his day so replace him & Arma with TP & Archer.

EDIT: Lallana is an option too

I'd go for those subs too. We've looked so toothless it justifies it imo.

Yes we need a chaos factor now, our improved organisation has made us more predictable. A front 3 of Fraser, TP, Kamaldeen, with Archer as a 10 might just work.
