That's something close to our best XI. (Mainly because it contains no Stephens, Manning, Fraser or BBD.) Although I'd prefer Lallana over Aribo. And probably Archer over Armstrong.
Yeah, I get he runs around a lot (much more than most - more effort or just lil legs?) but his end product is naff. Still, AA stick one on me!
Good spot; I had heard his return to Chelsea was pretty guaranteed, but wonder if that's changed now.
Shame our form player (Manning) has been dropped and why Adarma as the loan strikers? Two better ones (Archer and Tall Paul) on bench
Archer was said to have been under the weather (had a cold) Wednesday. Perhaps it’s related to that. I would certainly have him instead of Adarma.
Looks like Fulham are doing what a few other sides have done recently - namely using a match against us as an opportunity to rotate their line-up a bit. We've basically become lower league opposition.
Forgot just how much I love the Cottage. Proper old school football ground. Good job they don't have any real rivals with the mixed concourse though. Mind it's refreshing to have the limited segregation.
Definitely one of my favourites I've been to, went up there for the cup game under Ralph (i think Obafemi sclred the winner and it was scorching) What's it like now the new stand is done, still has that same character to it?
Armstrong starts over archer? don’t mind the lineup otherwise, would have had KWP in his better position and manning on the left though
I also came for a cup game which we won 1-0. Can't remember who scored but it was quite a bit longer ago than that and it was ****ing freezing. And not sure mate not gone up to seat yet, will let you know.
New stand is massive and looks nice but definitely takes something away from the ground imo. Makes it seem less tight and more open, looks weird compared to rest of ground too. Well happy with my seat. On the aisle in the furthest back row before the pillars
Its a shame in some ways but the price of progress. I remember last time I was there was the loss near the end of Mark Hughes run and to distract myself from Charlie Austin's post pub walk of a performance I watched some rowing on the Thames through the gap in the stands.
What a ground Old school, yet modern at the same time. Friendly stewards, served fairly quickly what's not to like?* *Power tripping door staff obviously
