literally nobody will remember the scorecard in 6 months. The result is all that matters and it seems on balance based on all the expert pundits that the result was the right one
Fury got beat again. Fair and square. Needs to stop the best ever. Usyk stepped up last 3 rounds massively. Close fight but deserved to win.
Usyks last 5 fights aj twice dubois fury twice thats a hell of a run, hall of famer? Given it’s the era of giants?
Of course not but that’s not the point I’m making. It’s pointing out what I think is poor judging, as we’ve seen plenty of times a clear winner ends up losing due to it. Is it the wrong result, probably not? Is it too wide, imo yes but ultimately doesn’t matter
yeh wasn’t arguing necessarily with you mate. It’s definitely a coincidence all three judges had it slightly wider than most. I just don’t think it matters if the result was the correct one. There’s no bonus points for a close scorecard.
I can’t lie I was rooting for Usyk, rate fury massively as a fighter too but never warmed to him as a bloke, no Rhyme or reason for it either just never been able to take to him
Personally I’m surprised the judges didn’t find a way to make it a draw / fury win on split decision to get a trilogy fight and more money for everyone
116-112 is only two rounds scored differently off a draw. It's not like it's a particularly wide decision. Didn't watch it but pleased for Usyk.
