Giles was poor and Kamara was lazy. Nice to see Drameh on his natural right hand side. The hoo doo is broken and well done Ruben.

Puerta. Showed the fire and plenty of skill needed that has been missing in midfield
Burstow what a goal to win the game
Giles. By far his best performance of the season (keep it going Ryan)

    Pedro was excellent as well

Honourable for Giles.....His reaction to the winning goal sort of tells me he's ok here. Pedro for battling...Pandur for handling,

Puerta - unlucky not to score and put some great challenges in 2nd half

Pedro - not just for the goal but his all round play and commitment

Longman - left everything on the pitch - also unlucky not to score

Jones or Giles could easily have made my top 3. Burstow instead of Kamara next game for me

Pedro - looks much better now that the ball is actually reaching him.

Longman - starting to look like an experienced Championship larker. Good teams at this level need them. (Obviously).

Burstow - today has convinced me that he’ll come good. I’ll bide my time but I’m looking forward to letting several Sunderland supporters know that they’re wrong yet again.

Should or could have gone in three one up at half time. But we got stronger the more then game went on in the second half and the subs made a difference too.
Mentions in despatches for Puerta, Burstow and Hughes.
And Glasgow Ric for making the effort to get to the game from Glasgow today. Good to see you pal.
Also spoke to Martin Fish before the game on the concourse. I was one of his biggest critics back in the day but I have just re-read The Decade book and maybe I've mellowed a bit.Told him I now appreciated what he did during those dark days. He said he is hated, which I had to disagree, maybe misunderstood at the time. But good to see him still supporting City at his age, and we had a good chat about some of the old faces from the Boothferry Park days. I felt better for having spoken to him and wished him well.

Puerta - unlucky not to score, added steel to our midfield.
Pedro - Despite his lack of speed, bullied their defence tirelessly.
Burstow - took his chance well.

Had Burstow not scored, I would have been happy for any of Longman, Giles or Hughes to be in the top 3.

I see Slater mentioned. Yes he runs around a lot but that’s about it.

Looks like we might just have got a manager who knows what he’s doing. So good to see the spirit back.
