I think players get away with the imaginary card waving overseas - Puerta maybe not adapted that part of his thought process yet? But I was happy he got stuck in today
How many times do we moan about opposing teams using the dark arts against us ? How many times have we been bullied off the park ? Its part of the game, just be wise when you do it, simples. Kudos for Puerta giving some out for a change.
Excellent.....Perhaps he should tell them to go into the corners and keep the ball there for the last 5 mins..Gamesmanship is a art but we're novices..Need to work the ref more and go down a lot more feigning injury. I loved Burstow's cramp...and he'd only just come on...Top work.
Longman was lucky his long throw-in didn't come back and whack him on the noggin...throwing it into the wind wasn't such a good idea.
Hull head coach Ruben Selles: "It was a powerful feeling [at the end]. The club, the fans, the players, the staff have been looking for that feeling long enough and we finally break [the run], so it was a really good feeling. "I think we played a really good game. We were clear in what we wanted, we minimised our opponent which is really difficult. We were aggressive. "The only time in the game we were not is when we conceded the goal. It was clear why we concede the goal – we lost control of the game because we started to kick long balls. "But when we got to 2-1, we never gave the feeling of 'now we need to protect'. We did not retreat." Swansea head coach Luke Williams: "It was a really poor performance. The opposition were better than us. That's a big problem. "But I don't quite know why we were miles off it - but we were. "I can't say I jumped for joy when the ball hit the back of the net [for the equaliser] because from what I'd seen for the 40 minutes before that, we were well off the pace of the game. "I think if we had got out of here with a point we'd have been very fortunate."
Very happy with that result! We have some tough fixtures over the next few weeks, so today was vital. Fingers crossed for a win at Deepdale on Boxing Day
All the players were getting stuck in today which was great to see. We’ve missed that needle for some time.
The funny thing is, he did it against Sheffield Wednesday as well and was befuddled as to why he got booked and a Wednesday player had to explain it to him. Can’t believe he did it again and looked equally surprised today. He played well though despite that.
This might be the pessimist in me but was Giles playing well to try and put him in a better position for the transfer window if you know what I mean
Odd isn’t it, I saw the clip at the end when he celebrated with Selles, he didn’t look like he didn’t give a ****
RS said he's not ready to play 90.... I'm sure and hope youre right about Kamara BUT!!!!... when were in the spot we're in you want people busting a gut like many did today, instead he just sauntered around, like he wasn't up for it and put powder puff pressure on their defence in the press and was rightly hooked.
Nah. He went to the North at the end and gave it a big fist pump. Think like most he’s just been low on confidence and he’s been given a bit more freedom today.
