Everyone played really well except for Hughes going missing on their goal. Longman Puerta Burstow Giles was MotM in first half and Pedro played really well too. Nice to have a cameo from Drameh in his favoured position.
I am struggling to like this squad but these three are really helping: Peurta - for getting proper stuck in Pedro - a proper footballer Burstow - cracking goal
Puerta worked well with Alzate bringing the ball out. Thought that the midflield bringing the ball out was a big change in our approach. Frequently it seemed the ball went wide to one of the centre backs and then back into the middle to either Alzate or Puerta who were playing deeper than normal, this allowed us to move the ball up quickly from that point since either Alzate or Puerta had made space for themselves in the process. Puerta Pedro Burstow For a change there were many others worth a mention…Longman, Alzate, Hughes and Giles. You know we’ve played well because Pandur is nowhere near the MOTM!
Puerta Pedro Longman Surely Burstow will get some starts soon. Maybe Drameh at right back too? Great to see some progress from Alzate.
Puerta (please buy him Acun) Pedro Burstow That was Giles’ best game for us so far. Was a 7/10 performance, but that’s the best he’s been. More like it.
Tough to pick ‘just’ a top 3. A great team performance with no one performing poorly. Puerta Hughes Burstow Honourable mentions to Pedro, Longman and Giles who could all have been in the top 3.
