If Labour aren’t going to shut it down in favour of a house with elected representatives the least they should do is make the greedy ****ers pay tax on their £323 a day allowance and only pay them the allowance if they make a contribution in the house. At the moment they don’t have to do anything to claim it, except for turn up. Try that at your place of employment and see what happens.
And this. Snouts in trough. https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/ta...f-lords-meal-subsidies-cost-of-living-crisis/
If you believe that you’ll believe anything. If he’s anti-Islam; why did he attack a Christmas market and not a mosque? This is damage limitation just like when they said the Southport killer isn’t an Islamic terrorist despite finding an ISIS handbook etc in his house
Scenes like this in Christmas markets across the UK and Europe. Armed police protecting Christmas shoppers. and still people want to defend our immigration policies? How many people have to die before you will admit there is a huge problem?
What I will say is that if we in the 70s/80s now, the same measures as above would be in place to stop the IRA. But that would be ok as it was christians blowing each other and people up? Not denying there is an immigration issue, but believe it or not terror is around and will be always regardless of where you are from or who comes to the country.
"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." Bertrand Russell
Germany's Interior Minister Nancy Faeser told reporters that it was "clear to see" that the suspect holds "Islamophobic" views. The suspect is an outspoken critic of Islam on social media, and has promoted conspiracy theories regarding an alleged plot by German authorities to islamicise Europe. Source: Reuters. (not FB, Twitter etc) Yep it's those Islamic people at it again. Oh wait.......
Something of real concern. "Democracy in Europe (the UK included) faces a level of risk and compromise unprecedented in most of our lifetimes. In the UK, we first saw these issues during the Brexit referendum campaign, when opaque businesspeople like Arron Banks, with hidden Russian connections, funnelled money into the Leave campaign. In the US now, multi-billionaire Elon Musk has facilitated Donald Trump’s return to the White House using his X social media platform to manipulate public opinion. He is now rumoured to be threatening to influence British politics by funding Nigel Farage’s Reform UK Ltd Party." https://yorkshirebylines.co.uk/politics/democracy-and-the-threat-of-dark-money/
JUST DO IT. https://bylinetimes.com/2024/12/06/...to-stop-foreign-interference-in-uk-elections/ "On Monday, Elon Musk’s father said that Nigel Farage could get a $100 million donation if it was needed to ensure that Reform UK wins the next General Election, saying “I think it’s a good idea”. And this needs sorting. https://bylinetimes.com/2024/11/13/...nding-in-11-different-seats-at-the-same-time/

And the US media is shocked that Luigi Manganello has become a heroic figure. The monetisation of health is evil.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cj49ynwen8nt Glenn Ivey, one of the five Democrats who sit on the ethics committee, has been speaking about the impact of the Matt Gaetz report. Ivey tells our colleagues at CBS News, the BBC’s US partner, that Donald Trump's team was “caught flat footed” when they faced extensive backlash after Gaetz was nominated to be the next attorney general. “They hadn't vetted these guys, and they didn't know that this kind of information was there,” he says. He goes on to suggest Trump needs to ensure "he's putting people in those positions who are really up to doing the job". "This was a pretty ugly report... President-elect Trump should have thought twice before he nominated Matt Gaetz and some of the other nominations he's made, I think would bear reconsideration as well," he adds.
