Lots of games coming up so assume it’s a rest for Hume rather than a dropping. Perhaps he also fancies Oniens “stand up and defend” will work better against Sainz than the more “diving in” Hume?
O'Nien marking Sainz makes sense, can't give him anything today. Happy with the lineup, Hume has barely had a break this season and with the upcoming schedule i'm not surprised to see him out of the lineup today. I expect to see 1 or 2 'surprise' changes in the next few games.
Timely for Poveda to get on the bench. Very light there for players who can bring a spark / something different.

I'm not suggesting he does, he's an ok cover at right back. But he's a top class centre back and the sooner we get back to O'Nien and Mepham as a pairing, the better for me.
