Theres some decent Leicester fans on here but they are let down by a very bitter and vocal minority like this Miami guy, get over it, theres no shame in being beaten by a better team at the end of the day

The tinpot debate is pathetic from a club that allows a group of it;s fans to come into the ground with a drum. Add to that the "ahh you're ****e ahh" bollocks when the opposite keeper takes a goal kick. Next you'll say you have goal music after you score.

Why do you consider it bare faced cheek to state that our owners have more affinity with our club than your owners have. They have been fans for years before they bought the club and petersaxon is probably right about us having the same owners in 18 months.

I never said paying high wages guarantees anything. But, if you were to compile a table of Premier League teams based on wage bills and put it next to the actual one, I think they'd look fairly similar don't you think. That's the point I'm making. Modern football is going in a direction whereby, in general (not in every case), money talks. I'm not saying that by us spending, we're guaranteeing success because it simply isn't true. However, providing that money is spent wisely and sensibly and on the right players, then you give yourselves a better chance than the club who don't have two pennies to rub together.

This is why I don't get this whole argument that we're doing something wrong by spending money because if your club was doing the same, I don't think you'd be making the arguments that you are. Yesterday, you probably deserved to win a game whose course was altered by one decision. That's not taking anything away from you because you showed great perseverance to keep knocking on the door until you found a way through but I think we should take great credit from the way we defended and the resilience we showed going down to 10 men for the majority of the match to hold out against a good side. But I don't think you can make a fair judgement of Nigel Pearson's Leicester City based on what you saw yesterday because we have seen an upturn in performances since he arrived and the circumstances which we found ourselves in meant we had to adjust our game plan and tactics.

So, yes we've spent money. Have we spent it well? It's too early to say definitively and we will only know that come May. In the same sense, it's too early for anyone to say how bad Leicester City are or how good Hull City are and who is the better team overall because again we'll only know that in May. At the end of the day, yesterday was one game that you won and well done for doing that but it doesn't leave our promotion hopes in tatters and neither does it cement your return to the PL.

The course of the game was altered by NP's negative team tactics.
He cost you a decent amount of money. Our tactics were set by a guy that took a dip in pay to come here.

True, and worthy of praise, however there's more than a few Prem players where 10% of their weekly wage would be many peoples annual salary.

I don't think the tactics were the wrong ones though. It was a sensible decision that, away from home to a club high up in the table and a team that we're likely to be challenging come the end of the season, to close up shop and try and hold out for a point and to be fair to him, it nearly worked and we defended well and implemented his tactics well and it took a great strike to get the point.

Certainly I think we had a better chance of getting something playing like we did rather than playing open football trying to chase the game. Also, I wouldn't say the attacking part of our tactical plan worked as well as it could have done and we should have been more of a threat on the break but we couldn't hold the ball up with Gally up front and we kept giving it back to invite more pressure from you. But you played well and probably deserved the win. I'd be surprised if we weren't both up there challenging at the end of the season.

Nah, it was not only a negative tactic it was the wrong one. Nige thought we had no teeth in front of goal, he got it wrong. It shows a distinct lack of belief in the other players, especially the defenders.

One player really shouldn't make that much of a dramatic change, generally it's the case that players each over-compensate, especially for being a forward down and the sum often exceeds it's component parts.

It'll be interesting to see the shape of Leicester htis time next year. I think we all know Nige like his own type of players. I can't see beckford for one being his type.

Well, Beckford has actually been playing well recently. Nige even seems to have got him chasing defenders and working for the team defensively. I think he has from now until the end of the season to prove his worth and show he can be part of a Nigel Pearson team. NP's man management skills are probably his best qualities so I wouldn't write Jermaine off just yet. If we can get him to be what Nigel will want him to be, then I still think we have a decent striker and with him & Nugent, a very good strike partnership.

On a more general note, I think the money that Nigel spends will be in safe hands because he brings with him an outstanding scout with a real eye for talent. Arguably (and I think someone has already suggested this), Walsh could be a bigger loss to you guys than Nigel.

The Walsh loss was one that many of us commented on, totally agree.

I thing that was one of the reasons the owner hung out for more compensation, as they were just not losing Nige but also Walsh and Shakky. I also think you are right Walsh seems to have a good network to uncover good talent.

Totally agree. It showed everything about Pearsons mentality. There was no need to be that defensive when down to 10 men. Mind you he did it with us when we had 11.

What makes this really funny is that you actually believe that Leicester are a big club, it's priceless! You'll never amount to anything more than we did during our stint in the Premier League, pretenders overstretching themselves before the inevitable fall and battle to avoid financial ruin, after the way you lot cheated your way out of financial ruin after your last failed attempt at world domination i'd have expected a little more humility. As a side issue it must be quite embarrasing for such a massive club to have a record attendance of 47000 compared to a tin pot club like us with 55000, you are no bigger than us and never will be, marginally more successful yes but not bigger, and lets face it with our history that's not relly much to boast about!

Well we've already done that you ****** <laugh>

I find it hilarious that even after Nigel's left you for us you still can't grasp we are a much bigger club. Think about it <ok>

As for marginally more successful, you had 2 seasons in the top flight. <laugh>

I'd have expected a bit more humility from you lot as well. Guess you haven't read the first post of this thread <ok>
