Ascot 15,35 Go Dante 22/1 e/w Lads three places, 20/1 bet365 and Coral four places, 14/1 sky five places Second run after wind op.
Ascot 15,00 Trelawne 11/2 WH, bet365, PP and betfair Strong Leader (14,25) deserved favourite, but perhaps his tiny odds (2/1) are not worth the risk.
13:38 Hereford - Regatta De Blanc e/w Class-3 Mares' Handicap Chase over 3m1f on good-to-soft ground. Form pretty decent for this affair and should gain a podium finish at the very least? Smart conditional, Freddie Gingell (3), rides for the Paul Nicholls yard. 9/2 (Wm.Hill/Unibet) best price early-doors, on the ATR site.
One of the biggest handicap hurdles of the season at Ascot at 3.35 and we have the usual mix of seasoned handicappers and unexposed novices. Whilst there have been three 4YO winners in the last 20 years (Cause of Causes in 2012, Sternrubin in 2015 and Tritonic in 2021) the race is usually won by 5 or 6 year-olds (Not So Sleepy and Hunters Call being the other exceptions). I think Kabral du Mathan will struggle to add to the list of 4YO winners and the Greatwood Hurdle form is short enough in the betting (Dysart Enos and Be Aware) so my pin has landed on the Scottish Champion Hurdle winner Favour and Fortune who is up just 3lbs for that Ayr victory and has won on seasonal debut the last 2 seasons. Alan King has his string in good nick too Good luck everyone having a bet
At Haydock I think Credo has a decent chance in the Tommy Whittle. No show lto but was 3rd in this race last year and reopposes the winner off far better terms this time around - 7/1.
Credo very conservatively ridden but finished a nose out of the places. Nice to see Nemean Lion back in the winners enclosure today giving lumps of weight away to all his rivals. March 24 - Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham, Dec 24 - The any meat you like Bhuna Handicap Hurdle at Hereford
Ok thanks Oddy. 5 days post op and pain not as bad as I was told to expect. Lots of exercises to do to get it back working but very positive so far. I’ve also bought a cryo cuff ice machine which has helped a lot. We’re very fortunate in Shropshire to have a specialist NHS hospital near Oswestry that do these ops in their sleep.
