They were in the days the club had shareholders. The three times the club appeared at the High Court on Winding Up orders for example. The ground allowed to fall to pieces, almost derelict, all club houses sold off, even redundant crush barriers sold for scrap, the club's donated name plate sold under dodgy circumstances for a pittance and the club at the foot of the Football League., The Sheffield Mafia were probably the worse, they took the club to the cleaners, never paid a bill and left a string of unpaid debts with even local takeaways and sole traders all over the city owed hundreds of pounds. If the Allams made the sort of cash you claim and kept the club afloat and playing at a decent level with no debt then compared to most of the others, Harold Needler apart, I think they deserve a little more respect then they get. Because as far as dodgy owners go Hull City are right up there with the best, we've attracted them like flies around.........

Yup, its how you look at things. Personally, and I'm sure other people have said this, my very best memories I have following Hull City were under their ownership. They put the money up and took the gamble. Others came, made loads of empty promises, and left us with empty pockets and nothing on the pitch and up to our eyes in debt. Indeed, it could and should have been so different. Will we ever see those times again?
