Poor buys have cost them I cant really think of one player that would get into Ours, Arsenals, Chelseas or Citys team. If they are still as bad this time next year then Amorin is in trouble. With the new owner in place I feel Amorin wont get as much support in transfer market as previous managers did.
I agree with this (and felt like Ten Hag was the man with the backbone to change it and he failed). But... I've not spent time watching the Portuguese league, so can't say how good he is... But people seemed to be harping on about he won it with Sporting for first time in X years... Completely ignoring the fact that his predecessors all came really close and never finished below third. Amorim did finally win, but he's also finished 4th there in a three team league. I'm not saying Amorim is a bad manager as I'm not qualified to judge... Just saying the accomplishment that people rave about didn't seem that impressive to me.
The fact that we were interested initially suggests that Amorin is a good manager. We do a lot of recent on every recruitment and don't often get it wrong. My understanding is we didn't sign him because he refused to play a 433 or similar type shape, he wanted to stick with his 343.
Is it even worth mentioning when City are dropping points anymore... Or is that just something we should assume now?
Obviously I'm loving it, but I'm genuinely perplexed how a team that's dominated the league like they have can fall so spectacularly. We've all been thinking they'll be back any day now, and of course there's plenty of time for them to get back on track, but this bad run is quite something.
For me this is seriously tarnishing pep's reputation. 1 win in 12? It looks.like everyone has him figured out and he cannot adapt with tjr players he has got to even shut up shop at the back. If this continues and they spend 150 or 200mil in January and it then picks up it will reinforce the thought that he is just a moment manager. Surely he at least changes formation, finds someone to play left full in a 433 and just packs the middle. I would stick two wingers outside the lump and just lapd the box and try get 3 cms tight in the middle to try shut down the space.
Might be vaguely interesting gsme with palace v arsenal. There's vsr now so jesus can't hang a yard offside to score. Not sure who kind of midfield odengaard partey and havertz will be.
So the referee can stop the game forGabriel getting smacked by the ball on the side of his head, but Endo gets it full in the face and the ref allows Southampton to go up the pitch and score.
Fine with them stopping it. But if you do that, you have to get the physio out and do a concussion test off the pitch for him.
Good win for Arsenal. On another day palace could have scored 3 or 4 though. The result def flatters them but puts the pressure on us tomorrow. a chelsea win just adds to that as well. Suddenly we’d be 1 behind Chelsea and 3 ahead of Arsenal.
It's not speculation. The title is going to London. We are aiming to wind up with a league cup and 3rd again. I'd have taken that before the season started lol.
Interesting half time scores. Man utd showing what years of bad investment delivers. Bournemouth are a far cry for the Eddie however version. They are really tough and strong. Chelsea just waiting for the breakthrough against Everton before getting palmer more pens. Southampton have Fulham bottled up. Under martin they would certainly be 2 down by now as Fulham.can press.
