No need for an apology Turk. Obviously an emotional time and related to an earlier post. From what you had posted, the sad outcome seemed likely. Sorry to hear that I may be seeing more flowers on that stretch of road when I next pass by.
Such sad news. I'm so sorry for you, Charlotte's family and friends. Please pass on my deepest condolences. RIP Charlotte.
Your choice to post it Turk and again your choice to edit it - well done for both. Even as "outsiders", nobody on here could have failed to be moved by such a traumatic event amongst an unknown family, and thank God the majority of us never will. Maybe the fact that a number of forum members including me didn't respond to your original post was nothing to do with the content. It was possibly because it hit home a bit hard on their own past personal tragedies and not necessarily involving vehicles either. Nothing anyone on here can say will reduce the current pain so I'll shut up for now - sympathy to all concerned.
Turk, I'm so sorry. I've been trying to find words and I failed. If I may, I'll just echo the words of Irish above.
Sad news! Probably nothing any of us can do to help...and it is always a shock even when one knows the likely outcome. Condolences to all involved and know we are thinking of you. Not likely, but if there is anything that can be done to help, know that anyone on here will surely do so.
Just contemplating the European scores from the last few days. How many games? Still not sure how the league works as there are too many teams for a round Robin. No idea what the competitions are now. Too many teams for it to be 'special'. Just tv fillers and attempts at cash generation. Sad.
So, currently sat in O'Neils in Cardiff after doing some Xmas shopping with Mrs Brizzle and then getting stuck thanks to GWR and their militant staff causing umpteen cancellations back to Bristol. Watching the Man City v Man Utd game, it's barely league 1 standard.... Awful game, awful errors all over the pitch and 2 really poor looking sides. Makes me feel glad to be a Bluebird (at least briefly anyhow )
Gary Neville called it one of the worst Manchester derbies he’s seen - “poor in quality.” He’s not wrong. Amad’s goal aside it was dull, boring and 2 hours of my life I’m not getting back.
Absolutely. Probably as tough a group as there could have been. However, for a nation just stepping upwards from the bottom rung, it will provide invaluable experience for players, trainers and management staff alike. The important thing will be to try and manage expectations without throwing cold water over ambition. It'll certainly be a tough gig for Rhian in trying to instill belief while being ready to be a comfort if the worst happens. Whatever happens, the current group have at last set firm foundations for the future. In qualifying and they already deserve hero status. So, have a go and learn from the experience. Cymru am Byth
Well said Clingo. It's a real achievement to see our ladies competing, not just in their group, but in a tournament including some of the best females in the world. They can only learn and improve from the experience.
Just popped over for one of my occasional visits and read this. Such tragic news. Thoughts and prayers are with you, her family and friends at this sad time. Life is so fragile and we take it for granted sometimes.
Thank you for your kind words and thanks to everyone else for their thoughts and prayers too Just to update everyone, things are going to be dragged out for a while as there has to be an inquest Police liaison officers are visiting her mum daily New boyfriend (nobody has met him) broken pelvis - And charged with causing death by dangerous driving Basically he had just upgraded from a 1.4 clio and got himself a high powered bmw and just as he was entering a national speed limit road he floored it to impress and spun it out of control, I know it happens a lot with motorcyclists but I rarely hear about it with motorists very sad though .... and thanks again
Anyone see Tottenham’s opener last night? Carbon copy of Alnwicks error for Stoke’s opener with Man U keeper palming a distant shot straight into the path of a Man U player However nothing as bad as Forster’s two howlers
And a Sonny goal direct from a corner!!! Nice little distraction touch by Bergvall. VAR would probably have disallowed that. Thought the Manc keeper was going to cry.
