Almost as though Olise had an offer from an established monster of a club and Thiaw is at one already.

Realistically though if they were to offer say 85m. We should probably accept it.

That would open doors in terms of FFP.

Haaland, not a bad 3rd choice to have behind Isak and Osula

As much as I love Bruno - and maybe part of me that just wants him to stay - there's no way he improves City's team to the level they need to get back on track. Not even sure he's the best CM at our club currently... Anything close to 100m would be decent business.

As long as they are RW this time I wouldn't be wetting the bed.

Like Barnes tbh - him and Murphy have he joint 2nd most goal contributions so far this year...

Linked with an 18 yo CB (Juma Bah) - but £10m for a player owned by AIK Freetong (Sierra Leone) seems wildly off, he's only only loan at Valladolid.

We'll see a lot of these. Just need to upgrade Schar, Murphy and Pope (but keep all 3). If we don't lose anyone of note and ship out the 3rd/4th choice dross (Almiron, Odysseas, Targett, Lascelles), that's a hell of a squad.

I think Valladoid have first refusal on the purchase which they are going to do so we would be buying from then, not AIK Freetong.

    Buy/sell/loan.

It's January, you're Eddie Howe, you have around £50m available plus whatever you can get from one sale. Who do you sell, who do you buy and who do you get in on loan?

    I'd sell Almiron
    I'd buy Tapsoda
    I'd loan Santiago Lopez

I’d imagine we gotta be looking to exploit certain markets - Holland, Eastern Europe, South America - good prospect and decent prices with low wages.

On today's rumours it's Almiron out for around about £15m and Bakayoko in... Though the report was saying we're hoping to get him for around €30m, so about €20m less than the rumoured asking price.

I’d definitely go with Bakayoko in, Almiron out and maybe Eric Garcia on loan (buy end of season).

This is the kind of stuff that needs knocking out of Howe - last summer when Almiron was interesting MLS clubs (again, after we rebuffed a bid in January), his agent Daniel Campos said: "Although Miguel is not happy with the minutes he has in England, he wants to stay and fight for his place at Newcastle. The coach (Eddie Howe) always supported him. When he made a request, he asked him not to leave. It must be a tactical or temporary issue."

Howe has got to learn to move on before it’s far too late. I reckon things like this played a major part in the reshuffle.
