After watching this, would be happy if this guy becomes our manager. And have a gut feeling he will be our next manager.
Well he said he was 'data driven' so that should tick some boxes for idiots running our club and being flexible and not playing stupid football that doesn't suit the players and opponents ticks a lot of the supporters boxes. If he comes I hope it works for him. We could do with a good popular manager for a change.
So many coaches get hit with the “no plan b” brush by fans that I tend to take that criticism with a pinch of salt. Sure, we know it definitely happens, but I think as Nathan Jones would say, with the greatest of respect, most fans wouldn’t know a tactical change unless it was extreme like tiki-taka to hoof ball for example and I don’t exclude myself from that. Essentially there is a difference between style and tactical setups
That's fair - but I would argue with literally a minute or so remaining, losing by a single goal, tippy, tappy, about on the halfway line sideways and backwards would point to me that no one on the touchline has said 'Get it in the box, put them under pressure' but may have said 'Well done that's really brave, you've stuck to the plan'.
You gotta Rohl with it You gotta play sublime You gotta say what you say Don’t let anybody get in your way
If anyone is actually close, then you'd think there is a good chance we'll find out who it is tonight as there would be a good chance they'd be at the game
Coincidentally work with both a Baggie and Wednesdayite. On the prospect of taking their managers: Baggie: "You can have him" Wednesdayite: "**** off"
Like I said yesterday, I think Corberan has taken West Brom as far as he can and they are stagnating. If you'd have asked your Baggie mate 6 months ago, I expect he'd have said 'f**k off' too.
Yeah to be fair, in the summer he said he was the best manager in the league comfortably. Think he’s just bored of the stagnation if anything, but he attributes that partly to his lack of tactical flexibility
Yeah, very quiet today. No real rumours at all. They were all there tonight except Dragan, so hopefully appointment is imminent?
As it's come out that the big wigs have been concerned (rightly so) with the amount of goals we concede, and from set pieces etc. and you would think that they want to go down a similar path of possession because that is what they think they have recruited to play. It really wouldn't surprise me if it is Corberan that we've gone for.
