Don't be silly - not even the best Spurs have had ... Jimmy Greaves or Jurgen Klinsmann... much better footballers ...
Interesting that Suarez and Dalglish are in there because once again it raises the forward question, both dropped deep and or left and right to influence the game. So that brings in Henry and Salah etc. The others are out and out strikers as far as I know.
Yup. And Newcastle only ever had one truly decent player and vital match winner....but because he knew he was never going to win fook all with the Toon he went to Liverpool....Alan Kennedy...and they only want to talk to me about Shearer lol, albeit before the Prem was invented but at least Kennedy did actually win some decent trophy hauls and he wasn't even a striker/forward.
I know I'm pretty (in)famous for bangin' on about 'da yoof' ... but this one is worth a shout - we've got a 15 year old kid who has been escalated into our U21s but has been training with the first team all week, and was pulled out of the U21s game tonight ... Jeremy Monga - not a name to easily forget - and may possibly make his debut against Wolves on Sunday!
Not wading into this as I think the were both brilliant Thought Carrick was massively underrated too but just on your post Scholes couldn’t drag England through a game either No one could that’s why we were ****e lol
Yeah but you're a QPR fan - so it's likely you have no idea of what interesting is ... unless you get lost and walk into Stamford Bridge ...
Lol at liverpool fans and gerrard. Hes basically the scouse le tissier. Looking amazing in a ****e team
As soon as a real world class midfield xabi and a world class striker came in as suarez we saw gerrard for the mediocre midfielder he was. Big fish in a small pond. Hes basically le tissier, eze, tarrabt
There are players that are amazing to watch, as a Chelsea fan, those players most notably would be Zola, Robben, Joe Cole and Hazard. I love those sorts of players, but to me I have always favoured players who just get the job done and give you pure numbers. Thats why Frank Lampard is my favourite Chelsea player of all time. He wasnt as technically gifted as Gerrard or Scholes, but when it came down to it and you needed a goal, he was your guy. His runs from deep were class. Same with Drogba. He wasnt prolific as hell every season, but he was the ultimate big game player and when you needed a goal to see out a game, no matter the occassion, he just popped up and got us the win. You could pretty much always count on at least one, or both, of them, to get you the win.
Amorim has said he wants Rashford to stay. Keeping him would be a massive mistake which will be thrown at him every time United have a bad performance. I'm surprised to be honest. His first mistake.
