Oh yeah for sure. But I also think that he may get offers from a team more likely to be in the league as well. Wolves were allegedly keen but weren’t sure on how the fan base would react, coming from West Brom, so clearly he is on the radar of bottom end PL teams. He may feel he’ll get an offer from a Palace or something in the not too distant future to give him a real shot at the PL rather than having to get us back up.

As ive mentioned before he turned Leeds down when they got relegated so he doesn’t seem like he would jump at the first decent opportunity to leave. Although he may have some animosity towards Leeds as he was part of Bielsa’s coaching team and they sacked Bielsa (albeit after Corberan had left)

Anyway if we can get him I would be delighted*

    Until he’s **** and I can moan

From my Baggies mate about Corboran -

Great coach but a bit too conservative. We don’t go out putting matches beyond doubt when we’re leading.
I suspect he’d like Southampton because of the academy and reputation for delivering players from there.
He’d sharpen them up defensively. But we should be at the top. Lost 3 matches but drawn a shed load! Because he’s not got the ruthless streak in the team.

Maybe I should do it. In 28 years never been relegated to the spare room. Been close though

Be interesting to see how he would adapt (if he would). No doubt he’s got West Brom punching above their weight financially the last couple of years, and did the same with Huddersfield getting them into the playoffs. Hopefully his conservatism is born from the teams he manages and how best to get results.

He worked with Bielsa for a few years so you’d think he’s learnt a thing or two about anti conservatism from him

Yeah just spoke to a colleague of mine who’s a season ticket holder at the baggies.
Said he’s decent but has no plan B.
Makes the same subs every week and always like for like.
Also likes the pep way, of playing out from the back and a bit side to side. Said nothing like Bielsa football.
I said, “so a Martin clone” and he laughed.

I thought the talk was 2 out of work and 1 in a job were our top 3. If true can’t be Corberan and Rohl? Unless we are moving down the list already.

Beginning to look like one from three.

So Rasmus will probably appoint a recently sacked manager from Uzbekistan.

To the people desperately searching for their second brain cell on other social media sites, who KEEP saying "I want someone with Premier League experience".

    1 - we're not staying up
2 - you know who has PL experience - Martin, Jones, Bruce, Redknapp, Gerrard
3 - you know who didn't - Iraola, Pochettino, ffs Pep didn't before he took over City, Klopp didn't before he took over Liverpool. It's such an idiot line.
    4 - stop being silly.

Tbh that sounds exactly like what we need. Draws are better than losing every week

Yeah I think he might be a better fit this season than Rohl in terms of keeping fans onside. I think he’d make us much harder to beat. The question would be whether he’d adapt to being favourites/big boys in the Champ rather than plucky underdog he’s been for most of his career.

Reading a Wednesday forum and they all seem to think Rohl is very similar to Martin in how he plays and no plan B so are using that as the logic that we wouldn’t want him as we’d just be replacing like for like. However they also are suggesting “more experienced” managers like Moyes as options rather than Rohl, so seem to think we would want someone who could keep us up
