Pep is trying to get sacked. Why? Resign, he get's nothing. Sacked he get's a big payday. He probably gets a paycut if they get relegated (And he doesn't want to play in a lower league)- or City might have an out with contracts declared invalid due to being procured illegally. Strategically it makes sense to get yourself sacked. We may want to laugh at City (and Pep's) misfortune, but my own personal conspiracy theory is that it's all on purpose- he wants the big payout before the sentencing. Pep is too good a manager to be doing this badly.

It's all a bit unhealthy to be honest, he's got them flailing all over the place as a fanbase. Desperately arguing that Man City are irrelevant and their trophies don't mean anything whilst fapping themselves raw over their current troubles. I worry for their mental health if he does actually turn this around. I'm not sure I cold watch it play out.

Not at all. The truth is, most Liverpool fans are currently happy, but grounded, not expecting the gap to last and looking over our shoulders wondering if it is Arsenal, Chelsea, or City that will make a comeback. Naturally though, the team to beat of the last decade going through a weirdly atypical bad run is a big story though (it would be weirder if it wasn't spoken about). Something is obviously going on.
