No one could have guessed the disaster that Walter turned out to be.

Luckily we have more than half a season left, a transfer window and a Manager with strengths where Walter had weaknesses.

As for this thread, some of you should just **** off and go support a Premuer League team instead.
Do they get to pick this 'Premuer' League Team,or will you be allocating on a first come/first served basis?

Concerned,Glasgow.

Old man Allam was the saviour and hero of the club for three years when he saved us from administration and bankrolled our promotion to the Premier League. That was until he wasn’t when he spat his dummy out over the proposed name change.

Acun has picked up and dropped two clubs in Fortuna Sittard and Shelbourne already when he was told ‘no’. What’s to stop him throwing his dummy out once public opinion loudly shifts against him here? He strikes me as a deeply-insecure guy who craves adulation rather than a pragmatic businessman. That’s why he does these gaudy stunts like free holidays. Do you see Brighton or Brentford’s owners behave erratically the way he does? No, they’re just hard-nosed businessmen who delegate to pragmatic and efficient DoFs. Hull City is just the ‘Acun Show’ to stroke his gigantic ego. I find him deeply unimpressive and insincere. Someone who is better as a propagandist than running a football club.
Nothing to stop him doing anything crazy or dropping us like a stone, but he's not done it yet...

I think Selles is “ last chance saloon” for Ajun. He has gone back to a thinking man with tactics and a plan from a country that has real students of how to play football.
He needs time and real backing in the transfer window. Ajun needs to move into the background and stop flying around looking like a guy who is “ mad as a box of frogs”.
It’s going to be a tough second half of the season but we are going to just have to hang on in as we are where we are now.
Survive this season and hope in 3 years time Selles is still our manager.

Crazy to think a couple of draws into wins last year and we could have been on Match of the day last night . Now people want Longman in the team again and miss the Allams …. Love supporting City , it’s mental

Don't mind Longman though. He gets a lot of unnecessary stick and isn’t half as bad as many make out. Didn’t go missing yesterday like the rest of the team did he?

One of not many who's prepared to put a shift in. Even one of those we've come to love for giving it 100%, seem as if he's decided to call time on City. That and he's always been L1 quality, but we're in denial.

He's probably in a minority of one now who can create space for himself and get in a shot that threatens the goal. He tries his best and that's all most football fans want to see.

But I doubt his best is good enough
He got a lot of abuse before and he was definitely trying then too
He’d be nowhere near a starter without the injuries to Belloumi and Millar

I agree he's in the team because of injuries and he's not one for the next level, I'm comparing him to others at the moment who have a problem trying to run past defenders and get a shot close to goal. Shots on target are clearly a major concern right now.

Sinik, Longman, Jarvis and Pedro are out-of-contract at the end of this season. Coyle, Slater, Jones, McLoughlin, Andy Smith, Vaughan, Simons and Alzate are all out-of-contract at the end of next season.

Out of all of them, the only ones whose contracts I’d consider extending are Simons, Alzate and possibly Jones. Simons is dependent on if he improves, Alzate if he does well when fully fit and sharp and Jones purely as a squad player/depth.

The rest I’d be glad to see the back of when their contracts expire. Not good enough.

Baz Cooper did a run-down in the HDM back in February and the club apparently lost close to £400k a week in those accounts. Things might be better now with wages being lower, but we’ve been reliant on additional funding the whole time he’s been owner.

We lose much less than a lot of other clubs, but we’re nowhere near being self-sufficient.

I couldn't find the Cooper article but this might explain how and why we were/are running at a loss.
