That was a really big moment. The game almost looked like it was gone but Ballard's goal got us right back in it. Laid the platform for the second half fireworks. It was an excellent ball put in by Hume, mind. Goal contributions by five players today, lovely. Hume, Ballard, Jobe, Neil and Rigg.
After watching Jobes video I reckon he might be telling Jude to get himself to a club with proper fans . Joking obviously! It will be a shame to see the lad go but he is going to go to the very top imo but it's good that we ha e had this effect on him and I reckon the Bellingham family will always have a soft spot for the club from now on.
Jobe needs to get himself out around Sunderland ... ... and leave a few little Bellinghams for the academy
Just swapped out for the driver for the second half of the journey but I'm buzzing still. Not sure my heart can take too many comebacks like that but we're all happy to have witnessed it (and get on the telly briefly based on the texts I've had since). Absolutely brilliant result.
Watched the highlights. Their opening goal had similarities to Bristols goal. Our defence looked lost .. asking each other what do we do what do we do. Might be a good idea if our defensive coach gave them some ideas ... like go for the loose ball and kick it away
I hate to be too optimistic but i honestly think this is our year. Look at where we are now with Samed, Poveda, Seelt, Mundle and Browne all due back before March, with a few welcome additions hopefully in Jan. Leeds beat Boro and then drew against Preston today. No teams seem to want to take the bull by the horns this season and were only going to keep getting stronger . Tommy Watson is also another player ive forgot about. I can just feel it in my bones that we'll do the buisness this season.
Don’t worry if Norwich score first Saturday I’ll be back on in a strop I’ll have snapped out of it when we hit our fifth though
Been under the weather laid up with this awful flu so haven’t really been arsed to join in the thread which I’m ashamed to admit given RTBs efforts. I read lots of comments when we were 2-0 down and couldn’t believe the amount of negativity, the last thing this team needs is people on their backs early doors. I was really pissed of probably fuelled by my illness, point I’m trying to make is we have a duty to stick by this group and the manger because they are still learning and never give up. Reminds me of the Denis Smith days, they would all run through brick walls, let’s have some patience and back these lads to the hilt because they clearly care, that reaction from Jobe was class, he gets us, let’s roar him and the rest on when things aren’t going our way. I’m really proud of the lads tonight and all the support we had down there, we are all in it together and finally we have a team to be proud of, I reckon the players are proud of us as well which bodes well. Enjoy your weekend everyone
Dan Neil doesn't even do much celebrating. It's like he just wants to get the game restarted so we can go for the winner
I agree mate, there's a reason some top clubs in Europe are watching him and it isn't because of the family name. He got caught in possession quite a bit first half and needed to improve, he did that. His overall improvement as the weeks go on is second to none. I really don't think there's a better midfielder in the league at what he does.
