Woke up excited for the match, think we will see a front 3 of Mayenda, Isidor and Roberts. As said earlier hopefully a few longer balls for Mayenda and Isidor to chase and get in behind them. Fancy Mayenda to score today if he starts. Haway me bonny lads
I noticed this on the "all areas" video for Bristol, he came down the stairs greeted the lads at the bottom then went to the changing room. I noticed the size of him then when he came to walk through the door frame, massive ****a
https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/s...ad-coach-regis-le-bris-previews-swansea-game/ REGIS Le Bris is not worried about potential fatigue in his Sunderland ranks, despite admitting he could do with a bit more depth in certain departments.… (when asked if playing so much football is catching up with the players) "Not really," he said. "We have to recover, we could have a bit more depth in some positions, I agree, but we can't complain. "It's not a problem for me. If it's a problem for me it's a problem for the other team as well because everyone is playing the same games." Despite winning just once since the end of October, Le Bris says the Sunderland dressing room is still upbeat. "The momentum of our identity is still positive," he said. "Even if we struggle with results, the way we are playing is consistent. We know this league is so long, you can struggle for one month but if the consistency of the way of playing is still there, especially when we're facing different challenges, that's the main point. "Then we need to add clinical finishing. If we keep going on our foundations then I'm confident for the future." Sunderland snatched a point against Bristol City in midweek, late reward for their persistence against a side that sat deep and frustrated after getting themselves in front at the Stadium of Light. The Robins also changed shape at half-time, switching to a back three, and Le Bris says negotiating those in-game tweaks and dealing with sides who are setting out to stifle is something his side will have to deal with in the coming months. He said: "When you have the ball and you have to break a low block, it takes a lot of effort. It's different to defend in a low block and just wait for one or two counter attacks or one or two set plays. "If we are in this position it's a good thing rather than just suffering from the opposition. We have to focus on our identity and strength right now. We can be dominant. We will have to deal with more situations like that than before. Efficiency in that part of the pitch is key. "We were prepared for the new set-up of Bristol but it's different to watch the TV and say we could manage and do this and this, but on the pitch it's more difficult. It took 15 or 20 minutes to deal with that and it was a new experience. "I was happy with the reaction of the team.. They did well. During half-time we spoke about their change, it's not easy to solve a problem like that. I was happy with the reaction." Today's opponents Swansea have climbed to ninth in the table with a run of four games without defeat. They won at Plymouth in midweek but have only won three of their nine home games so far this season.
Nothing I love more than watching Sunderland top or bottom of the league today shapes up to be a good tactical battle haway the lads I am however seriously nursing a hangover so that’s one negative
A tough away game, but we are good at creating chances, so I expect we will have too much for them and come away with a 1-2 win.
To be honest as much as I want the lads to win (obviously), I just can’t see, given our last few games, how they’re going to do it. I’m going for another draw.
Thanks for another brilliant thread RTB. Very difficult game as they all are. Not a very happy hunting ground in the past and I'd take a draw and get back to the north east right now. I'll still be hoping for a win mind. Haway the lads. Keep the faith lads and lasses.
Thought 09 would make his way to the bench. Bold move like but Ballard has that resale and will need minutes.
Would've went with O'Nien and Aouchiche over Ballard and Rigg personally but both good players so no complaints. All I ask is that we see some earlier changes if the game isn't going our way. Haway.
A little surprised that Luke isn't back in the starting line up. Pleased to see Cirkin back at left back. Gives us more balance and more going forward.
No complaints with the team probably would have had onien in and adil/connolly in for rigg but still a good team and one good enough to get a result, haway the lads
