Aye understand the concerns, 24 now and less than 100 games is a worry, hopefully he is more like a watmore he was riddled with injury’s early on, typically had very few issues since leaving here
He was a 10 or a forward, out of shape or not he was never a right winger EDIT. Misread your post and can see you mean Poveda, he's been unfortunate but needs to maintain his fitness and get a run in the team
I remember him playing RW for Blackburn mate, when they had Harvey Elliott on loan and then he suffered his bad injury
Prior to Sunderland, Poveda's first injury was a broken ankle playing on loan for Blackburn in 2021. He recovered, came back early and it caused him discomfort that lasted a further week. He had a knock playing for Blackpool in 2023 that kept him out for a week. He pulled a hamstring playing for Sheff Wed in 2024. Hardly a catalogue of recurring injuries, each one different and not a specific weakness ... ... he's been unlucky rather than injury prone.

I agree with Regis about Isidor, yes he's missed more than his share of chances lately, but that happens to every forward occasionally and at least he's getting them to miss. He's still been a threat, I'd be looking at switching things around if the games were bypassing him entirely but he just needs to get his shooting boots on and we've seen he's well capable of quality finishing. Some room for improvement, needs to be stronger and stay on his feet, probably just needs to get used to the physicality of the league.
Looking forward to this despite our form. First away trip of the season (excluding Preston in the cup) and somehow managed to convince my dad and brother to join me for their respective birthday weekends. Its fun regardless but a win would be appreciated as I feel a loss would lead to a slightly awkward 8 hour drive back for the one who convinced them

Easy from the outside. Coaches see the coaching ground. If a player doesnt do it there, no point expecting them to do it on the pitch. We seem to have 2 or 3 who 4 coaches dont rate. Time to act for both parties maybe.
Did he know that last season? Anyone that watched the u21s would admit he looked isolated and not part of the group.
