    Saturday 12:30 kick off
More of the same from the players needed. More effort more running and definitely need to be more clinical.
I’ve just watched the highlights of cov v wba
And cov missed so many sitters it was ridiculous. Should have won the game easily.
Aren’t players practising finishing these days?

    city to win 2-0

With an increased sense of optimism knowing Selles and team have another couple of days to work with the squad I do fancy us to come away with something, c'mon City.

Little known fact...We were the first away team to win at Coventry's Ricoh stadium. Welsh brace in a 2-0.

I think the 2 questions are, will Alzate start in midfield, probably not, so will Puerta come in with fresh legs, I assume Simons is still out? Also, who will play up front, as others have said, Burstow deserves a start, or will it be Pedro or Bedia?

Alzate needs a couple more games off the bench.
I think pedro did ok on wednesday but he is about 45 and will need resting. I would like to see burstow given a couple of full games up top to see how he does. I thought mcloughlin was better on Wednesday after a couple of poor games( I don't think playing next to drameh helped). So giles to continue at left back. Our squad at the moment does seem to suit wing backs but I can't see the new fella entertaining that idea

I'd like to see Burstow get a start.

Thanks for tidying up the thread mods (Do we have more than one?)

I hope we've been working on our crossing and final ball into the box

How many times do we put poor crosses in and fail to pick out our player ?

Alzate absolutely needs to be starting, he's by far our best central midfielder.

I’m presuming he meant in order to get his fitness up to the required level.

I did mean fitness wise. I agree that if fit he should start

Alzate did look a little rusty but he grew into the game, he’s a talented player and should get the start on Saturday.

Was Wednesday his first start? Perhaps noticeable the control of the game was there from the off with him on as opposed to coming off the bench when we're already behind or struggling. Once able to do 90 mins he will be key for us I agree.

Alfie Jones back in the squad for the trip to Coventry City.

In not so good news, the ref's Bobby Madley.

Think Alzate, when up to full fitness/sharpness, would be quality as a number 8. He’s okay as a number 6 but if he plays a bit more advanced in lieu of Slater and we have a proper number 6 sitting deeper, we’d look more threatening.
