Managing in the Champions League? Last time I checked Spurs weren't in the Champions League. Oh, hang on, he must have been on about when he was managing Celtic. Yeh, top effort to get a club of that stature into the Champions League. Knob.
Nice to have Lallana back involved sooner than expected, even if just an option from the bench. Spurs should destroy us, but stranger things have happened. They have lots of players out, we have players returning. Tall Paul to get his first goal for the club in a 3-2 win. Blind, hopeless optimism for absolutely no good reason other than I’m bored of being hopeless and negative. I’ll save that for 10 minutes after KO when we’ve gifted them a goal
For all the injuries Spurs have they still have Son, unless Rangers can do us a favour tonight. Don’t want him badly hurt because I like him, but some sort of coming together that will take him at least a week to recover from would be nice.
Sutton's prediction: 1 - 2 It looks like Saints are going to get relegated but I hope they see the bigger picture when it comes to Martin. Stephen Bunting's prediction: Tottenham have been terrible but Southampton keep losing. I think they are going down, aren't they? 0 - 2
Weren’t we pretty much the only team Werner scored against when he was at Chelsea? Just looked and he’s got 5 goals against us in 4 games. Peak Saints.
From the look of last night, Spurs are all over the place. Injuries across the park, senior players subbed at half time then dragged by their own manager, midweek away game in their legs and Saints have the home advantage. Everything is going in our favour. There is no better time to play Spurs. It will be really interesting to see how we find a way to lose this one.
