I am, although oddly enough it's entirely my choice if I don't do so. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Player power at the bottom of the Championship....I hope they all have relegation clauses in their contracts... that might focus their minds a little...
My short summary of the game last night. I wasn't bored watching City for the first time in a long time.
Second half he was going mad getting Kamara , Palmer etc to keep the high press going , it’s no god 3 out of 4 doing it .
I think McLoughlin has to sniff out the danger. Hughes and Coyle in place to cut out the cross. Macca just needed to have a glance at what was coming in, but unfortunately he was transfixed on the ball.
I think the young uns are so used to having their noses stuck to a phone these days they don't develop spaceial awareness, could explain this, our forwards making the wrong decision, bad driving and knob heads getting in my way when shopping.
The damage was already done The ball pulled back from the byline is the hardest to defend And so it proved
The back 4 are all in a line defending the same cross, its the desperation of defending a 1-0 lead going into the last few minutes. One of the centre backs should have held his position and be 2 or 3 paces to the right to block the cut back. We had a few similar crosses during the game and Watford blocked most of them with solid positioning.
I think Slaters decision making cost us last night. I think the ball across the box was better than a pull back to Pedro, he squared another ball behind the player instead of into their path in the second half. He also tried to pass to an offside Longman when we recovered their ball just outside their box. He should have also just kept goalside for their goal instead of trying to nip in front of his man to intercept - there was no need to do it with a few minutes to go. He gave his all, covered every blade of grass but needs to make the right decision more often.
The midfield had been bypassed when Slater tried to nick the ball in front of his man. In fairness Baah travelled quickly with the ball and it was evident before he got to our box no one was catching him. Our 4 defenders had 3 players to deal with - at least one of them should pick up the late runner into the box.
Yep. It's easy to look at a screenshot and say Macca should be further forward, but if the ball comes across and the left centre back isn't cutting it out at the near post we'd be annoyed at that too. Like you say the damage was done earlier and it's difficult to defend once it gets to that point (although we always need four or five of those to score from one, unlike everyone else it seems).
Although it's Macca's man, Hughes is the one who can see where Macca's going so why he chose the exact same path at that point, who knows. Its one of them split second moments again where various players have all made poor choices.
