It feels like we have not made a serious attempt at competing this season. We show flashes of what might have been possible in a few matches like against Liverpool and some decisions have definately gone against us. But, by and large, i feel Martin is to blame. He shoukd never have been given a new Contract and should have been upgraded in the summer
He's completely missing the point. Kicking it long is about game management, not keeping the ball. Arrogant twat. Sometimes you have to give the ball back to the other team to be able to reset.
Giving Here he goes again specifically praising the traits of opposition managers at bigger clubs that he thinks he has too. It’s like he’s desperate to compliment and promote himself without doing it directly. Even if it’s not meant like that, it comes across that way, and fits the narrative that he just wants to do a Kompany and doesn’t give a **** about us. Which probably isn’t completely fair, but he doesn’t help himself.

It was the same old same old press conference. But you can tell it’s getting to him with his reaction to the Carragher comment. But even with the Ange point is was all about where HIS football philosophy’s had got him to Celtic then Spurs. At the end of the day it’s winning football that counts. Not successful passes, more possession etc. With Pep’s current struggles at City, I would bet this will change a few’s opinions out there??
Also made me laugh when the fans comments I guess made on forums like this and x etc, were bought up. Bozo said he didn’t know what the journalist was on about. Shows that the journalists do though and maybe that’s why the question’s were a bit more spikey today which he definitely didn’t like.

I've not watched a press conference in years but sounds like this one might be worth a watch. Is it on YouTube or anything? Dig at Carragher made me laugh. Bloke who won **** loads, played under some great managers and knows infinitely more about the game than Martin.
I doubt Carragher knows half of what Martin knows about the game - the same goes for any current manager that has managed 3+ seasons in the championship/premier league. (Yes, even Nathan Jones ). No doubt Carragher was in a different league as a player, but having never coached or managed a day in his life there is an entire side of football that he has never experienced and knows nothing about.
Plan A - Put ourselves under pressure in our own half, concede a goal, pass sideways or backwards, no creativity going forward. Plan B - Give the ball way near our goal, other team scores, keep possession, don't shoot. Plan B doesn't need to be miles apart from Plan A.
