After reading your post, and considering everything you've posted ... ... my response is f*ck off and stop fooling yourself that you're more intelligent than you really are. No offence
That's what I'd be going for, give Roberts a freer role behind 1/2 CFs, so something like Patterson Mepham ballard o9 Hume neil jobe cirkin Roberts mayenda Isidor Think it'll help isidor having 2 players closer to him as well
We have lots of talented players and lots of possible combinations. It's an exciting time but in a constant state of flux. It's my belief that we'll just have to accept fluctuations in results while the players develop and accept what RLB is asking ... ... while the manager learns how best to compete in a new country/club/division. We have a great team spirit and that doesn't develop unless the players are behind the manager and coaches. We have a very young side but they're fighting for each other and the club, something we've been lacking too often.
Most teams in the championship are inconsistent and that's especially true when we have such a young squad Top 6 is still the aim for me, as we are developing one of the most exciting squads in the league. Each transfer window is an opportunity to improve and with January nearly here hopefully we sign some more quality
And every game they learn more as does the coach (you hope) the performances last 4 for me have shown a reaction to the 4 before that where we played poor mostly Regardless of results we’re simply playing better and more on the front foot, even at Sheffield United away. im expecting a win at Swansea
No need to apologise. If that is the way you see it fair enough. I think you make some good observations that others have made. My own sense is he is learning on the job. About this country and this league. And about being a coach of a first team squad. I hate the revolving door of coaches we have had as a club for the last 10 years or more. Regis has started with the fundamentals of out of possession stuff and has massively improved us. I see signs of attacking play emerging now. I couldnt give a jot about coaches plan Bs to be honest. I would sooner they stuck with plan a but kept making it better. I hope that is his long term aim. He has made some excellent squad moves imo in terms of player responsibility. Patience with him may or may not pay off. One thing is for sure we cant keep changing every year in the hope we land on one. Give him 2 full seasons then judge. He is ahead of my expectations of him for sure.
Bit of a weird game last night. First half we were dominant without being threatening. To coin a favourite phrase of mine we were all fart and no ****. Second half was poor. Zero urgency until the 4th official put the board up for 5 mins injury time. I think a large part of that is purely down to player fatigue due to the reluctance to make subs or rotate some of the younger players Rigg needs this more than others in my opinion. Subs were very slow again for me Connolly and another should have been on before they even scored as you could just feel the game was drifting which gave them a bit of a shot in the arm to actually try and attack us. Their goal was a farce I'd be dissapointed if the team I used to play for conceded that on a Saturday morning but then again these things do happen once or twice throughout a season. Positives were Dan Neil who was very good again, an open play goal for Roberts finally and the fact we never gave up. All being said despite the rather poor overall quality of the game if Ballards flick header had gone in at the absolute death that game would have gone down in folklore purely for the nature of the comeback.
I was simply saying if you suggest ignoring the offside rule why bother with any rules, Sorry I can't make it simple enough for you to understand. That's all I have to say on the matter, you are now on ignore.
I think we missed O'Nien on Tuesday night. Yes Ballard and Mepham can bring the ball out but O'Nien can speed up play going forward and put us in the front foot quicker. As others have said Mayenda looked so much better on the right but I thought by the end of the match he learnt how to play in the next better than he had
