I don't feel like I've had a chance to decide if I'm convinced by him or not. His appearances have been too fleeting.
Honestly I think he's always looked good creatively every time he comes on, he's always positive with the ball and always looks to go forward, I feel he's been mismanaged his entire stint here and not given a proper chance, he should have a clean slate after that horrid season with the dictators of football in charge
The issue there Bob, is people will think you're speaking gospel truths, when I think you're giving your opinion. I heard Aouchiche and Pembele came courtesy of Dreyfus. Aouchiche and Ba skipped out at some point, whether it was before or after they'd been shown they were surplus, I don't know, but I do know it was before the window closed. If of course, what I heard is true.
Interesting to hear Roberts post-match interview, when he basically bigged up Adil. said he trains hard and is a good squad member with lots of creative talent. i think it is his out of possession game that lets him down, and he should have learned to address it.
Can see a massive bid coming in from one of these in th summer, possibly with a loan back. The kid has been outstanding for the most part.
dont think hes had a fair chance hardly had a run of starts and 15 mins max off the bench very rarely isnt a real look
been off the last two games but i suspect hes been under the weather like o'nien and roberts but is playing through it as theres no one else marked improvement overall from last season and will most likely be testing himself at a higher level next year
I think it is interesting folk say a player hasnt had a fair chance. 3 coaches now not fancying Adil? In my opinion you dont just get a run of games in the first team to see if you are up to it, when a young lad coming from a different league. You have to earn a chance. You do that in training day in day out, earning the trust of the coach by demonstrating you can do what is asked. May Adil has failed to convince all coaches so far he is uo to the job. It was a cracking little bit of play last night. A flash of quality. Can he keep delivering that and doing all the other important bits? Only the coaches will really know. I am not convinced, personally, he will be here come Feb. He needs to be a starter somewhere.
Always a sign when multiple coaches overlook a player. There’s undoubted ability in there and I’m not offended at all if he gets some playing time in run up to January. He did great Tuesday. We need to do something to keep some life in the legs, we’ve already seen instances of Rigg, Jobe and Dan looking knackered and they are 3 massively key players. Maybe we suffer because of the recent lack of goals and never being clear to rest the players seen as the stars. We could do with a comfortable lead with time to spare maybe and that’s over to the strikers, none of whom look like consistent scorers at minute. We are trapped in a cycle there to an extent. Wilson is a lovely player with some sublime and can finish, but I wouldn’t say he is an all round finisher, he is best on instinct. Who we can get after, who can sniff in the 6 yard box but also turn and shoot from nowhere, I’ve no idea. It’s really quite difficult to even decide what type of striker is the ideal fit or compliment/alternative to what we have. We don’t have a target man, would that open options? But does it work for us anyway and would Reg change approach mid game to utilise anyway. We are a little bit enigmatic at the minute but we are so close to very good.
REGIS Le Bris has confirmed Sunderland will attempt to strengthen their attack in January - with the head coach playing a key role in the preparations for the winter window Le Bris isn't expecting a "massive" window, with only one or two new arrivals likely. But bolstering the attack is the priority Asked whether strengthening the attack will be the January priority, Le Bris said: "Probably. "We have many competitive players in the back four, goalkeepers we have no problem. Midfielders it depends on who is available but if everyone is available we don't have many problems. it is probably at the top of the pitch that we have something to expect. Sporting director Kristjaan Speakman this week said Sunderland have done "loads of preparation" for January - and Le Bris has played a central role. The head coach said: "We have done a lot of work on the profiles I like as a head coach and how I can define this for each position. So it was a question of sharing these ideas and discussing them. "We shared this with the recruitment staff and the coaching staff, and discussed how we can combine these different points of view to ensure we are really connected. "Now we will have different profiles to assess. It is easy to find our weakest position right now but things can change, so it will be more intense [closer to the window]. But our thoughts on these [initial] profiles are very clear." Le Bris added: "My main focus is still the team. We can't expect really to change the whole dynamic just by one or two players. "We can use this window to add maybe a specific position, to address a weakness or because of injuries. But the solution is inside the team. "With one or two players it would help, but it doesn't have to be the main option. It's not the easiest window, maybe the players who are available didn't play a lot from the start of the season so we need to think about connections. "The transfer window won't be massive. If we have to choose one or two players, they'll be very accurate for the team." Link in comments
Did he also tell RLB not to play him when he didn't play him much at Lorient? What a stupid thing to say - boring
They came VIA the family agent who does all the club deals. Now that's a fact, and a good few other people know that. Look I ain't chucking stones on here, some of this is my opinion but that last statement is fact. If anyone wants to check, get in touch with Barnsey from BBC Newcastle. He will confirm it. No more said on this front from me.
Bob, you clearly have an issue with things at the club. Wouldn't it be easier to just post your issues rather than jump in now and again with cryptic half posts? Just a thought
You might be right but it's just a forum mate not life and death. Loads nip in and out on posts, to me it's not that important.
