Good first half Poor second half Jobe & Rigg looking really tired and just not sharp enough. That was inevitable after so many games. Figure it out Regis and learn to change it up earlier on.
Ballard was unlucky not to get the winner it was a great effort and an even better save. Agree with Aouchiche being underused, I thought we'd pretty much sacked him off so haven't given him much thought but I've always liked the look of him. You'd think him for Rigg would have been a good option in more than a few games.
It probably will be mate and I'm not against it being that. However, need to change it quicker if it isn't working. I think playing Mayenda as the 9 with Rigg as the 10 will help Rigg, as Mayenda is very good out of possession for us Def get the concerns though as I'm on the same page as you with the rotation of the squad
We could do with giving Rigg a rest. Another fresh pair of legs alongside Bellingham and DN will help them both. But who?
Not happy at all with that. I hope the coaching staff/players don't gloss over the performance because of the equaliser. Next time we play like that we'll get a pasting, a more tactically ambitious side would've beaten us. Neil, Mayenda the only pass marks for the full game, Roberts and Aouchiche obviously get praise for the goal but without it I thought Neil and Mayenda were the standouts. Neil followed on from Saturday with another proper DM performance, he's set his own standards now in that role. Mayenda is such a threat in transition, I feel like he should be getting significant minutes every week if not starting every week now. Not happy with a lot of the individual performances. Isidor is offering nothing, I like the lad and I think my annoyance with him is because we've all seen what he can do but it's just not happening at the moment. But I still expect him to be involved in the press and be a nuisance in the box but he's not currently. Ballard has been poor this season for me, I want O'Nien in the team for him for now. Rigg needs a rest and Jobe needs a competent replacement in the squad, he can't be a 9/10 every week. I don't get why RLB won't be more proactive with changes, whether thats subs or tactical tweaks. It's really starting to grate on me now, might do a post tomorrow in the data thread on our subs if I find anything interesting. Paddy has earned us 4 points in the last 2 games with a goal and an assist. Fair play to him, pretty sure I was one of the more vocal voices against him so humble pie is being eaten currently. Hard game against an inform Swansea on Saturday. Need to improve.
First half I liked second half I did not second half midfield hid from the ball and it meant we couldn’t progress up the pitch quick enough so easy to defend however we deserved a goal first half so a draw is probably fair AA showed why we should use subs sooner. Bristol city made 3 by minute 60. nice point to pinch, furthered the gap on boro and still not far off top
We had 66% possession, 21 shots to their 7, also 5 on target to their 2 and twice the corners ... ... we didn't play well but never gave up which earned us a point. That's what we deserved in my opinion.
As disappointing as it was tonight even on their last legs and nothing going for them these lads don’t give up, credit to them all for that
Really disappointed with mayenda to be honest thought in the left he looked unbothered and a bit switched off in reacting to the ball. Opening 25 in the right he was good think Wilson held the ball up well and made good runs, my frustration is how easy he throws himself to the floor
This is a very good point, Riggs performances were considerably better with Mayenda up to over Isidor
I have never been one for Paddy to be binned. Reminds me of Pritchard in some ways. Just that culture and makes others play better. Also gets slot of second assists etc. Is frustrating but has alot going for him.
Isidors movement with his back to goal is shocking, he doesn't offer that bounce pass that you need from a CF in our system (mayenda does this pretty well when he's a CF) Isidor has talent but he's not offering us anything at the minute - I agree the service hasn't always been great but he needs to start using his physicality Just need to freshen things up a little bit against Swansea - hate playing them as they always seem to do well against us

He was better on the right as he had the option to cut inside but I still think he was our only attacking threat. Got to the byline multiple times and had Vyner in trouble constantly. So raw though. Don't agree at all on Isidor. He was static and didn't hold the ball more than a handful of times.

Sheff Utd didn't deserve to beat us ... ... that's football for you. I was proud of how we didn't give up, that counts imo.
He doesn’t do it enough for me I agree he’ll drop in the odd time which is good, if we played with an out and out 10 I wouldn’t mind it but sometimes we have no forward ball because of it.
