Giles must be being given a final chance. As others have posted if you give him attacking freedom and ask the other 3 to defend in possession it’s not the worst idea. Admittedly if he does get injured then no clue what happens there.

Have we given up on Andy Smith? Thought he looked promising last time out.

According to the lad from reading on the 1904 pod, there’s a young lad we’d be interested in. Although young he’s a full New Zealand player and is far too good for league 1. Sounds like another Hughes a year younger. Might be worth an offer.

Is there a limit to the loads we are allowed? If we released Bedia, Puerta and Burns can we replace them with 3 more loans for the year?

The only restriction is 5 loans in a matchday squad. Other than that you go do what you want

It's five in a matchday squad.

I'd keep Puerta, he seems to have more good games than bad ones, it's just last couple he seems to have let the malaise in the squad get to him and can't seem to pass properly.

He's one I think we should be buying to free up a loan space, as opposed to sending him back.

Yeh I think so too, he started to struggle a bit but so did everyone at points in Tims midfield. It can't help when players are in and out of the team and getting yanked off at half time. On that point, I still believe Mehlem is a good player, he had a good start to the season but then missed some games with injuries and struggled upon his return but the team was already struggling collectively and confidence was low.

Do we think Zambrano is good enough to buy and standby during his ban assuming his appeal fails?

I think these are the three were most desperate for. Midfield is really weak, the poorest we’ve had for some time. Striker is obvious, I’d argue we need two though as opposed to one and we’ve lost our 2 wide players so they essentially need replacing for the season. Hopefully some good loans are on offer.

Absolutely he is. With the ban, I'd assume he'd cost peanuts and with first refusal we'd be mad not to get him.
