Less than 24 hours after if was unveiled as the new Sunderland manager and the media are all over us. Martin o Neill's magic over the media seems to have brought us some much welcome spotlight time. The Sunday supplement, normally a programme that we get no mention on at all, were all over us and all saying what an exciting appointment this is and that this was our Kevin Keegan appointment, which like it or not, transformed our country bumpkin cousins into mega darlings too. There are no negative vibes from fans or media this morning and there is some genuine positives around this fine sunny day. MotD also couldn't help themselves last night but to welcome Mon back to the game either and messrs Lineker, Hansen and Lawrenson seemed genuinely chuffed. Whatever happens from here on in, I get the feeling the media will want to know about it and our profile just took a turn for the better. If the football follows likewise, its going to be a belting time ahead.
Been on nightshift Cest, and just woken up so havent seen the Sunday Supplement yet.But theres a programme that never gives Sunderland any kind of coverage, I always put it doen to that Geordie fella who hosts it, cant remember what paper he writes for. Anyway regardless its kinda nice that our profile has been raised a wee bit with the signing of MON. By the way just as an aside....some sources are reporting that MON may be looking at Andy Johnson at Fulham as a stop gap striker if no name striker becomes available..hes prices by Fulham in the bargain basement £1 million bracket
Ashley will come up with some new magical idea to get the spotlight back on the muppets up the road. They cannot handle any positives we ever get. Your deffo right regarding our profile tho. Good news all round.
I'd be happy with a 1m Andy Johnson bid in 5 weeks time BTW. Good finisher and proven. Would be a good foil for Bendtner or wickham.
Aye, for 1 million id be happy meself and he wouldnt be on big wages....sounds if MON may be initially looking at experience and reliability
Its strange but i never realised that the sensation of hope, anticipitation, excitement and expectation all mixed together could manifest itself with a sensation of a physical feeling of pain ,They say pain and pleasure are are closely linked and hard to describe to others but im feeling like ive just finished a very very long run ,had a shower and am so tired that i have gone to bed and my head is just about to hit the pillow.its that split second just before it hits the pillow thats where im at....its a nice feeling you know you are going to wake up refreshed and invigorated.......lets hope safc is going to wake up after a long painful run of disapointment and heart wrenching anguish that has for a long time been a sort of badge of honour that safc fans have worn with dignity for far far to long.........SAFC fans will always be the best in the land ........ so come on Short and co give us a team that deserves our support!
Stranger things have happened mate, I believe Mr N'Zogbia didnt start again yesterday for Villa (dont know if he came on mind) but certainly these rumours of him having not settled at Villa have not gone away
Can't remember mate, but all i can remember is, that it was one of the most boring games ever... Villa were shocking, anyone calling for Agbonglohor, should watch that match, and maybe change there mind..
