Jesus just had a look at the City twitter account don’t think I’ve ever seen such a miserable heads down bunch of footballers in my life. Selles requires a ****ing miracle to lift this lot.
True, but I think the whole mood of the team and crowd needs a boost. People seem really resigned to this team being no better than a relegation battle, I guess because we've been so battered with negativity in the form of disappointing home results in particular. The fans have very little heart in us at the moment and the players have little belief. Going behind yet again will just entrench those positions further. We desperately need something to shout about.
Buono estente Ethes ethes ethes Scorchio Butros butros ghali If that doesn’t inspire them nothing will
Question for this with an eye on the youngsters. When Reading were up the creek before Selles arrived he played some lads from the U21's. Whilst we need some experienced heads out there, is there anyone at all that could make the step up or is our academy down the pan too..?
Head says: Away win. Heart says: Home Win. Probable says: 1-1 draw. Late City equaliser. circa 84 mins.
Jobs demanded nothing else but perfection so if Ruben can emulate Jobs in that as well as dress he will go far.
It's not down the pan. Far from it, as you can see from their results this season. However, I don't think there's anyone there that would really make an impact. Nearests would probably be Jarvis, TSFleming, Vaughan and Tinsdale, maybe Smith but he's not going to be a game changer! We had glimpses of them all in summer and, bar maybe Jarvis who has shown us glimpses, I don't think they'd make an impact. U21's should be carefully brought into the 1st team picture, rather than thrown in, as in sink or swim approach. Maybe Jarvis will now flourish under Selles; he clearly didn't hit it off with Walter. But who knows, maybe 1 or 2 might surprise?
You'd still hope there was someone capable... these aren't even making the match day squad... whats happened to Ashbee..
Yepp, v Sheff Wed 4-2 win 1st home game of last season...penalty, sublime shot from the edge of the box, another similar move and a low shot from the edge of the box for his third ....I for one didn't appreciate Tufan until he left.. I wish he'd come back. Great player.
Yeah, fair comment...Seemed to drift in and out of games for me....But when we got a tune out of him he was a handful. Scored some crackers last season. What we would do for a few of his goals, right now. That thought could bring a tear to a glass eye.
