Clarke getting stick from Ipswich fans. As,ing them to send him back! I mean, not like they’re pulling up any trees in the rest of the squad,. Feel for the lad. But, on that note, apparently Ian Harte is Watson’s agent too!
As fond as I am of Clarke I didn't think he'd make it in the prem and said so before it happened. Watson though...he's definitely got what it takes. You could see from his first team debut he's a dangerous player and he's revealing more weapons game by game.
I feel for him as well. He's struggling, but they don't play in a way that suits him or gets the best out of him and in a way it feels like they signed him without really checking him out to see how he'd fit in or plan for him. Because of that he's now out of the starting 11 and only getting a few minutes as a sub, which isn't enough to allow him to adapt himself. And being a high profile signing he's going to be scapegoated, instead of being given a bit of patience. I wouldn't rule out hearing in a few weeks that he's unhappy there and thinks he's made a mistake joining them. And if that's the case, hopefully Watson doesn't listen to Harte if he starts whispering about a move.
Absolutely this. It’s weird really as, (sorry @Nacho going to disagree with your post above here), I do think he’s good enough for the prem, but not in that team. Ian Harte has screwed this lads career for me! Hopefully Tommy Watson is taking note of this!
I'd like to see him in the right position with the right team, I wish him well. I don't believe he has the pace, physicality or unpredictability for the prem but he's not really being given the chance to prove himself.
I watched the Ipswich game yesterday and Ipswich were pretty much holding their own until the manager made the substitutions. Clarke look lost to me, not sure he is playing to a system or his confidence is completely shot. As has been said...Harte has screwed over Clarke with this move for the sake of a few quid for himself and a healthy pay rise for JC. If he waited till the end of this season, his options would have been much better As it is, we don't miss Jack at all because of the impact of Mundle and Watson and I just hope that these guys don't get their heads turned by clubs in the Jan window.
Losing manager sacked tonight? I think Wolves may sneak a win, hard to predict though two poor sides.
Are they switching the Christmas lights on down Oxford Street ... ... a lot of empty seats at whatever West Ham call their ground. Is it the Bubble Dome
What a win that is for Aston Villa away at RB Leipzig. Their fans must be ecstatic, it’ll be a canny night out there
