I think sometimes passing instead of shooting is the smart option. Vardy got an assist this weekend where he could've shot but gave his mate a sitter instead, brilliant decision and he didn't hesitate making it. As you say, our issue is often that we hesitate and the chance disappears. Bedia is one of the most awkward players I've ever seen trying to get a shot off. Unless it's fully in his stride on his left foot the shot isn't happening, and even then he blasts it over. As soon as players hesitate you know they're not going to score. Another example, I remember Sterling had a run where he didn't score for England for 30 games or something, around World Cup 2018, and at that World Cup he had loads of chances, kept getting put through on goal but he'd always hesitate, check back and get crowded out, or try to round the keeper when it was too late. We do a similar thing too often.

Interestingly too going behind last season wasn’t always the death knell for a game that it is this. We need to relearn that.
