I don 't know what's going on but I do know if it was my leg and my career on the line I'd be a bit nervous and I might feel more confident going with a surgeon I could speak with and get reassurance from. I'm guessing his English isn't too good...
I suspect his contract will stipulate that any surgical intervention will be carried out by a medical team that has been approved by Hull City. City aren't going to let a quality asset be operated on by any Tom, Dick or Mohammed surgeon without due diligence being carried out.
Just operate here and send him back to Algeria. No point that lad spends time in Hull alone during recovery, if he wants Algeria then be it otherwise he will be depressed for 6 months. Just make sure surgery done by proper staff.
"No, nothing. We're getting more and more (back)," said Walter when asked on any new injuries within the squad. "Marvin (Mehlem) could be (involved). Steven (Alzate) could be also. He didn't play a long time before, then he got injured. He's fighting to come back. It's not easy for him. All you can do is to fight and to deserve it. "Mohamed (Belloumi) is ok. He's speaking a lot with Liam (Millar). Liam will be at the game tomorrow. He's every day over here (at the training ground). I think realistic, he will return beginning of next season; same with Mohamed. Carl (Rushworth) will hopefully be back before Christmas, but I don't know." Walter also confirmed an injury set-back for winger Doğukan Sinik, who suffered the injury in training. "It's about the knee, but it's nothing torn. Everything is fine. Four or five weeks and he'll be fine."
Belloumi has had his knee surgery, looks to have the surgery carried in Doha, Qatar at Aspetar. https://www.aspetar.com/en/home https://x.com/HullCityStats/status/1862531814759256387
Has there been no news on Belloumi having his ACL op... or is he still sat at home deciding what to do....!?
