Interesting comments from Alan Pardew, he was onsite around the club this week for the Liverpool game and he said that he didn’t recognise one face from his time here, but that those he spoke with are absolutely focused on results, being top 6 and winning something. He reckons that the pressure is already on Howe, never mind building, and that he doesn’t think Howe is particularly safe.
Easy to answer though! They backed the manager and tried to buy a player the manager wanted and couldn't get him ....they couldn't afford him. One reason why is because the manager has already had massive amounts of money. It's also like I've said backing the manager by not selling players he wanted to keep. The club and owners have backed Eddie Howe by spending the maximum about possible... to suggest this manager hasn't been backed is selective and preposterous. Darran eales “We can’t always do it in one window,” Eales said, seemingly referencing the summer. “We’ll have natural ebbs and flows.”
The club has backed this manager to the maximum amount available under PSR regulations. Saying he hasn't been backed in one or two windows is selective .. the full picture needed. Darran eales “We can’t always do it in one window,” Eales said, seemingly referencingthe summer. “We’ll have natural ebbs and flows.” “We have an ownership that will commit – and we are very fortunate – the maximum available under PSR regulations. It’s about how you spend that and you can’t always do it in one window. Sometimes it ebbs and flows because of the financial three-year cycle now that you've wrapped yourself up in your own cocoon? I don't recall you all crying out that Steve Bruce wasn't back in his last summer window. In fact you spent every week shouting about how much money he had overall .....but but he had more money than rafa ! Remember?
Alan Pardew blazed quite the trail after he left us - worst record of all 92 league clubs in a calendar year at Palace, got an established West Brom team relegated, sacked after 8 games at Den Haag, then sacked after 7 games at Sofia. Funny that he didn't recognise a single face here, the club was a shambles when he was here, we've got rid of the useless clowns since then. He was one useless clown who left of his own accord.
Rumours are ****e created by newspapers to make gossip and sell papers. If we discussed all of them it would be a never ending conversation of horseshit.
Pardew finished 5th on buttons and the fans just never wanted him from day 1. The best anyone did under Mike Ashley by miles.
It's all fake in the main.. people tend to swallow the stories they like the sound of and rubbish the ones they don't like.
Well of course it was.....but he was hardly up against stiff competition in Carver, McClaren, Kinnear, Bruce etc. Plus the gulf between other teams and us was far wider when Rafa came in. And then after having this good team that finished 5th, Pardew then managed in by not having the balls to keep Ba on the wing and thus having Cisse go to ****, Cabaye being sold, Colo wasting away, and not controlling Ben Arfa. And that's before you get on to the head butting, shagging players wives, ref shoving, worst record of all 92 league clubs at Palace, mangling West Brom, calling Essien a rapist, Pellingrini an old ****, being sacked after 8 games and 7 games.....Pardew is a ****ing comedy show.
He finished 5th competing against the rest of the managers in the Premier league. He deserved credit for that. Now he really wasn't backed the following summer! They sold all the best players and bought garbage.... was he cut any slack.? No
Stop living in the past. Bruce is history and is no longer relevant. If we were going to spend a reported £60-£70M on a player in the summer and didn’t, then obviously we haven’t backed the manager to the maximum amount possible. That was the only point I was making.
Bearing in mind a few of you have been continually gone around in circles arguing about Howe Out and this was a rumor about Howe Out I thought it was rather apt for this thread and discussion. Back to you all going round in circles.
