I don’t know who I’d want at the moment to be honest because I still haven’t given it too much thought with regards to “Post-Ange”, even if I do see the hammer dropping fairly soon. If I absolutely had to pick, I’d go to the American FA, break Poch early out of his contract and back him to the hilt and stand by him. Maresca is currently benefiting from the groundwork Poch put in at Chelsea last season and he’s proven with us he can build (as well as coach) a monster of a team, not forgetting he made Southampton look a decent side too. He probably has the best skill set of managers out there who we could entice and a proven track record of doing well under our hierarchy.
Two weeks in a row we've been leading against a team from Fulham, their player should be sent off and the ref doesn't even give a yellow. What's the point?
So true. The club just lurches from one manager to another and starts a new process every season it seems. I don’t think Ange is the right man and it’s becoming more and more obvious but sacking him won’t solve the main issue with THFC.
Ange: “The players are constantly out there because we can’t rotate”. Utter ****ing nonsense, you’ve got two FBs on the bench you barely and don’t use. You’ve yet to give a start to a £40m talent in his natural position whilst persisting with a player that’s underperforming. You’ve had the PL2 POTY on the bench for games and barely given him a sniff. Comments like these do my nut in.
Like I've said a dozen times. He's Conte with an Aussie accent. Can't coach for beans. So now he's fishing for a windfall to spend in January because he knows that's the only chance he has to succeed. Better player in every position and in every seat on the bench.
It’s hard to have sympathy with him with **** like that. His **** squad management and overly intensive demands is why so many are dropping like flies. It’s not down to bad luck now that two straight seasons we’re littered with injuries.
Basically called out Levy, thanked him for the stadium and training ground, and suggested it`s time for somebody else to come in with fresh ideas etc.
ange definitely has his flaws, which have been pointed out on here plenty of times. But you have to look at who is making the decisions on which person coaches/manages the team, and then sacks them, especially when it’s this frequent. Whilst I’m not sure Ange has it in him to make it work, he’s just another manager who’ll be added to the list of Levy’s failed appointments. 18 months ago we were saying the exact same thing about Conte, and here we are again.
Bissouma is a liability time and time again…believes his own hype. Should be nowhere near the first XI
Longstaff puts in the kind of hard yards you are in need of. If any of you have any club connections then let them know.
yeah definitely seen them given and was surprised he hadn't gone. Thought kulusevski got very lucky too when he elbowed lavia in the head (hard to see intent but his elbows were wickedly high)
Bissouma is indeed a liability, we can all see it. Where I lack sympathy for the manager is that he picks Bissouma ahead of Archie Gray. The way Bissouma plays, I can’t see Gray doing any worse.
Wow your boys really set themselves up nicely for everyone to laugh at their broken bones in this one.
Not even a Big Mac at Baldock services can cheer me up after that 2nd half performance. Had a chance to see the two penalties again as I waited. Shocking.
It's been clear since March/April that Bissouma isn't the Dembele that his role requires Today he decided to confirm that by being decidedly more Ndombele
Merson's jowls moved and noise came out Redknapp wondered why his wife left him Carragher wished he was on the bench if we needed a late goal Let's be ****ing honest, if you're looking for honesty on a Skyte Sports panel, you may as well watch Fox News for political insight
