I just hope that any future manager isn’t chosen because he buys into our current and very flawed style of play. Yes it looks good when it works but the high risk is giving no reward and the constant errors….well we all know about them. My preference would be to go back to the pressing style with quick transitions with a less risky approach to defending and playing out from the back.
We can dream, we’re good at that! Spurs, doubtful, West Ham maybe, but commuting to SMS and Marchwood with a squad he’s probably more comfortable with (Fraser aside) might prove tempting. But whether Newcastle will terminate is I think a bit wishful thinking until January end??
Just idle curiosity, I was wondering what my fellow poster on here think? Do you believe he'll be gone this week? I noticed a little article on my laptop newsfeed just now about the game yesterday and 'blaming the fans' and I have never seen a feed about Southampton FC on there ever! If it's getting to non-Saints interested news I wonder if some of those, other than our resident 'genius', might pull the trigger? I think it might happen.

Ok, I've voted to get rid. Really didn't want to but the signs are there now that he's lost the belief of the players and at that point its all over. He won't change, the players won't change, the results won't change so there's no point in persisting with him.
He's not going. SR are going to give him 2 or 3 targets he wants by selling TP/Sulemana/Charles and giving the loans back. They will not budge on sacking him.
If we want a proven Championship manager, here's Mark Robin's stats. I would definitely give him a chance.
As I have said before sadly IMHO he’s going nowhere . I think SR believe he WILL get us back up again and become Boing Boing Saints . I have not seen or heard anything to support my thinking , it’s just what I think .
